A charming home, in a quiet but charming village, typically French, we loved it.

A thoroughly enjoyable trip. The house is perfect for a family with a large kitchen diner for indoor eating, and a courtyard for outdoor dining. Fully equipped with dishwasher and washing machine. Comfortable beds. Enough space for 4 people to feel very at home. Nell has it all covered and I would definitely recommend the area to other friends. Plenty of family friendly activities, the Lac de Gurson with beach and kayaking is 5 minutes away. Cycling is easy on the local roads. The supermarket is close. The local bakery is very good. And the village has a good ambience. The Friday night market/dinner was superb.

Nell was a lovely host, who was very accommodating to our late arrival and gave great suggestions of what to do around town. The house itself was really lovely, nice and bright, fab kitchen, and our children appreciated being able to watch the DVDs as the rain came down hard! The town was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely recommend and stay again! :)

We had a fantastic time in Villefranche de Lonchat at this lovely house! Our two year old son had a brilliant time at the nearby swimming lake and we spent many days there. The village is lively and a highlight was the Friday night food festival in the main square (every Friday during July and August I think).

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful French house. It was very relaxing, the garden was a perfect sun spot, and the house décor is very tasteful. The village has everything we needed, a small boulangerie, bar and the supermarket was 10 mins in the car. The lake which was very close by was also great, and perfect for families. It is also very well placed for access to the wine region and we combined the trip with a night in Bordeaux which was a highlight. Nell was a dream to deal with, very quick and very helpful. Thanks!

We live in the UK so the house is entirely yours. We know the area very well and would be more than happy to give any advice to holiday makers.

About Nell

Hello! We are Nell & Gérard and we met in Brighton 14 years ago. Gérard originates from Aix en Provence and Nell, from Bath. Ironic as the two towns are twinned. Gérard worked in the music industry in London for many years and now teaches French. Nell is a furniture designer and has a business called CoucouManou. We have a daughter called Manon...hence the name of the house...who is 11 years old and because of living in France for two and a half years, is now bi-lingual. We now live near Bath, UK.
