Our home is close to many beaches, golf, tourist gift shops, Cavendish Beach Music Festival, Anne of Green Gables, Cows ice cream, Drive-In movie theatre and more all within 20 minutes from home. You’ll love our place because of the country atmosphere, central location, 200 year century home, pet friendly etc. Our place is good for couples, solo travelers and most importantly, families. We welcome all people into our home and are family friendly.

The space
Route 6 Century Home is nearly 200 years old and rests on what used to be a large farm. There are 6 acres of this property and we stay in back 4 acres that are privately surrounded by trees, so both our family and our guests have privacy.
The house has loads of historical character, from the exposed beamed ceilings to the plank board floors. Some of the beams in the house were even salvaged from a schooner ship and repurposed in its construction.
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and a full bath. Downstairs consists of a front room, living room, dining room, full kitchen and half bath with washer and dryer. There is a full porch in the entrance and a deck off the front room.
There is a small fire pit that is for our guests to use, off the deck.
There is a flat screen tv in the main living room. There is a BlueRay player that enables you to use Netflix and youtube, plus we have provided a selection of DVD's for you, including children's movies. A large selection of board games has been left out as well for our guests to use.
Coffee, tea, cream and sugar will be provided as well as a kettle and a coffee press. Towels, soaps and bathroom tissue will also be provided for our guests as well as linens.
A handy guide binder will be found in the dining room. It will include our house rules, details about the property, emergency procedures and local emergency phone numbers as well as a listing of local conveniences and things to do.
We hope you enjoy your stay with us at Route 6 Century Home.

Your hosts,
Jeannie & Mike Gallacher

Hi there, We are Jeannie and Mike Gallacher and would like to thank you for checking out our home. We have lived in our home for nearly 7 years and spent that time renovating it's 200-year-old bones. Trying our best to keep it's charming country house feel but to freshen it up a bit. Our home sits on just over 6 acres of land. The house is surrounded by trees on 3 sides and is set back off the road. The front yard has a quaint fruit orchard of apples, pears and cherries. Our guests are welcome to any of them that are in bloom. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do. I have Airbnb messenger on me 24/7 and am quick to respond to messages. Don't hesitate to message me if you have any concerns or questions! Your hosts, Jeannie & Mike Gallacher
