BudaHome - Citadella is a stylishly decorated, comfy-cozy apartment. Thanks to its large luminous windows, you'll enjoy spectacular views over Buda Castle, especially at night. The apartment is particularly well-suited for couples who love the bright and airy ambiance of this 2nd floor apartment, providing plenty of natural sunlight year-round. Business travelers will appreciate having a separate, well-lit desk and being very close to the Congress Center, MOM Sports Complex and the city center.

Enjoy a restful sleep on our brand new high-quality memory foam mattress and wood frame complete with individual duvet sheets for maximum comfort. These duvets, a tradition in Eastern and Northern European countries, ensure no more disputes or pulling sheets from one another.

For those wishing to sleep late after enjoying the vibrant Budapest nightlife, we offer custom-built rolling shutters to create the appropriate level of darkness.

Our  FREE Wi-FI was recently improved and upgraded to offer the fastest connection available in the area. You should however be aware that on special days such as Christmas, Easter and major events in the city, connection can be sluggish. This is normal and usually improves within a few hours. Satellite TV offers a wide range of International Channels  to keep you updated wit news from home.

During the summer you can also turn on our ceiling fans to ensure a more natural way of keeping out the heat. A portable air cooling unit is also available for those odd hot days.

The kitchen with its elegant marble counter top, has everything you need to prepare your favorite dishes. It features induction stove, microwave oven, toaster, electric coffee machine, moka pot coffee maker, coffee grinder, kettle and electric water boiler. Tableware, cutlery and a wide range of kitchen utensils are also provided.
We're sure you'll love the unforgettable experience of cooking with majestic Buda Castle right in front of your eyes.

To make things easier for you upon arrival we also provide a FREE WELCOME KIT with traditional Hungarian cookies, mineral water, coffee, tea, salt, sugar, paper towels, dishwasher soap. We also have a grocery shopping service: just send us your list and we'll stock up your fridge!

Where you’ll be

We are located on Buda's prestigious Gellért Hill, a very central area famous for its breathtaking views over the city.

We are steps away from the Citadella panoramic lookout, the Rudas and Racz Thermal Baths and only 5 minutes by bus from Váci Street and the Inner City.

A 24-hour market is located some 30 m from our gate and there are a few non-touristy restaurants very close to us.

Ours is a busy, centrally located neighborhood about 800 m from the Danube and Elisabeth Bridge so please be advised that some level of noise is to be expected.

Travel and languages have always been in my blood. I'm Italian-Hungarian, grew up with Americans and have been all over the world. In the late 1960's my grandmother owned Hungary's only private guesthouse. Almost 50 years later I managed to reacquire and expand her original venue and BudaHome Apartments were born. I'm a dedicated vacation rental owner, participating in conferences and training seminars both in Europe and overseas. I love interacting with my guests and helping them create unforgettable memories. My staff is made up of trusted family friends (Anna and Tibor) who help me manage things when I'm gone. I speak 6 languages and I try to communicate with my guests in their native tongue whenever possible. I have used Airbnb many times before as a host and a traveller and I'm happy to be part of this community again.
