Cozy home in the village of South River, known for it's proximity to the popular Round Lake canoe access point to Algonquin Park, ample lakes and rivers with opportunities for paddling, fishing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, hiking, and more. A great home base to enjoy these activities. Walking distance to LCBO, grocery store, restaurants and more. Owners are a stone's throw away should you need assistance with the home or to answer questions about local attractions.

The space
Perfect for nature enthusiasts, paddlers and snowmobilers.
We are located directly on the OFSC snowmobiling trail, a great home base while you explore the region on your sled!
Ten minute drive to numerous lakes and rivers popular for swimming and boating.

Guest access
Guests have access to entire main floor and outdoor space in the yard.

Other things to note
Please familiarize yourself with Airbnb policies regarding their service fee.

We supply hand soap, dish and dishwasher detergent but we ask that you bring your own toiletry supplies such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc. While we have a washer/dryer available for our guests to use, we do not offer laundry detergent. Also perhaps bring slippers as the floors aren't carpeted.

We do not offer wifi, cable or satellite. We offer a selection of DVDs and blu-ray discs, approximately 300! We offer the use of a Nintendo Wii console during your stay, with many games are available to use! We also offer a selection of board games and puzzles for your enjoyment. For children, we have a selection of simple toys, books, paper and crayons.

We are not located on waterfront but have many lakes and rivers nearby to enjoy.

While we are close to the back country paddling access point into Algonquin Park, we are over an hour's drive away from the West Gate on Highway 60 in Muskoka. While it certainly is a drivable distance from our home to spend the day exploring the walking trails, museums and visitor's centre, we don't pretend to be a stone's throw away. We have had guests spend the day in Algonquin near Hwy 60 and then retire back to South River and the Almaguin Highlands region to enjoy other attractions here. During fall please be sure to book your daily vehicle pass online up to 5 days in advance to avoid being disappointed as these book up quickly with people wanting to see the fall colours in Algonquin Park! This allows access to museums, visitor centre and hiking trails along hwy 60 corridor.

I am a busy wife and mom of two newly grown up kids, I work two jobs and try to fit in as many activities as we can in the beautiful Almaguin Highlands. I love to canoe trip in Algonquin Park, read and travel when I can! I have a background years ago in housekeeping and I enjoy having our guest house clean and welcoming for all of our guests. My husband Nathan and I look forward to hosting our guests and ensuring they have a comfortable stay.
