Huge one bedroom in the heart of Bryn Mawr. The building is old but well maintained and the residents are quiet. 20 minutes drive/train ride to center city Philadelphia.
My home is a beautiful & clean one bedroom apartment. It is full of natural sunlight. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom that is very comfortable, and a queen guest bed that can be used for another couple/ additional friends/ or children. The living room is really big, so even with the Queen bed open it's still not very crowded. There is a room divider in the living room to increase the privacy. There's also a sofa in the living room that can be used for a fifth person (it doesn't open). The sofa is so comfortable that I occasionally fall asleep on it and don't wake up until the morning...
The apartment is located at the corner of the building on the last floor, so it is very quiet and private. The close distance to the train station might bother people who are VERY sensitive to noise, although it is really unnoticeable (the bedroom is facing away, can't hear it at all over there). Unfortunately, while the train's noise is unnoticeable, the students from across the street tend to get loud on weekends. Please be aware of that.
High speed internet access is provided, and a TV with all basic channels+HBO.
All people are welcome!!
Guests are welcome to use everything in the house unless specified otherwise (personal things that are stored).
Washer & dryer are available in the basement, coins operated.
I do not have a parking space in the building, parking near the train station (1-minute walk) or at Bryn Mawr College (on the street) is usually available, although I cannot guarantee.
Interaction with guests
My interaction with guests is via Airbnb messaging or phone. I am staying nearby when you're at my place- so I'm available to assist with anything. I always try to respond fast :)
Other things to note
The closet in the bedroom is empty and available for guests' use. There's an Iron, and hangers.
I love cooking, so my kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need. Guests are welcome to use basic things in the kitchen (such as spices, sauces, etc.) but are expected to purchase their own foods.
I have some things such as toothbrush, toothpaste, q-tips, laundry detergent, additional soaps, deodorant, etc that I purchased for the guests' convenience. They are stored in the closet and marked 0.25-3$. If used, please leave money for them :) you are trusted! I do not guarantee that all items will be available when you arrive, but I try to always have them stocked.
Guests are expected to let me know if anything broke while they stayed.
-absolutely no smoking please!
Hey, I'm Emily!
I am a biology and premed McBride Scholar at Bryn Mawr College. I am originally from Israel, been here for three years now. Before college I spent a few years traveling, scuba diving, and bartending. It was wonderful. My favorite place in the world is Thailand, people are really nice and the food is incredible.
In my free time I enjoy running, swimming, and coffee :)
