21LG Le Morne View –Affordable Luxurious Penthouse with breathtaking views of Le Morne & Ile aux Benitiers. Situated in the residential area of La Gaulette, this newly renovated Loft is part of 3 interconnecting houses sharing garden space and common swimming pool.
For undisrupted view, giving on a fantastic veranda, the place under ceiling fan is 1 huge open space, comprising of kitchen, living & bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Downstairs, there is the 2nd air-cond bedroom & en-suite shower

The space
THE LOCATION : No beach but hosting a mangrove and preserved from touristic development, La Gaulette is a small fishing village popular for its authenticity and its proximity to the West most beautiful stretches of sandy beaches nearby and to the marvellous Chamarel Seven Coloured Earth behind in addition to numerous sights to enjoy in the region.
You may dip your feet in the sea just down the road and paddle to the Benitiers Island right in front to enjoy the beach or rather go to Le Morne for the nearest one.
Listed on UNESCO World Heritage, the magnificent Le Morne in premium sight is also internationally known for the Kite Surfing Spot.

As you understand, the apartment offers a superb Sea and Mountain View, but is not a beachfront property.

CHILDREN ARE PEOPLE TOO!
Baby Cots for under 2 years old are available on request and while we are children friendly, we cannot provide free accommodations for children OF ANY AGE. We love children and welcome yours but all fees and total number of guest limit apply, this also in compliance with accommodation law and insurance. Please specify number of children and their age when getting in touch pre-booking.
SELF-CATERING: Your accommodation rental is Self-Catering and you are therefore responsible to maintain and return it clean. You will be supplied with arrival essentials (toilet paper, trash bag, hand soap, cleaning products, etc – but it is for you to replace as you consume) – for stay longer than 1 week, linen and bath towels are provided with one spare set so you can change if you wish (the apartment is equipped with a laundry machine and housekeeping equipment).
HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE: This being a big chunk of one’s budget, if you don’t wish to, you don’t have to bear that cost (logistics, laundry, salary, transport, and staff declaration among other costs). Your accommodation rental DOESN’T come with cleaning service. We chose not to built it in the daily rental cost in order to be affordable to all type of guests and respect your privacy shall you rather not be disturbed during your stay. For guests who would rather use a bit of help, we have as detailed below, several service options at an extra fee available to suit each people needs. (Please request quote according to your length of stay).
Option A0 - Purely Self-Catering: Automatically Reserved by Default. The apartment is delivered with a spare set of linen and bath towels for your autonomy to change and wash as you wish.
Option Departure Clearing Flat Rate Package: MUR 2,000 – On extra to Option A0 if desired – included in Options A1, A2 and A3.
Option A1 - Housekeeping Service Once a Week: Cleaning aid, plus change of linen and towels + including Departure Cleaning (request quote according to your length of stay)
Option A2- Housekeeping Service Twice a Week: Cleaning aid, plus change of linen once a week and towels twice a week + including Departure Cleaning (request quote according to your length of stay)
Option A3 – Housekeeping Service Thrice a Week: Cleaning aid, plus change of linen every 5 days and towels 3 times a week + including Departure Cleaning (request quote according to your length of stay)
CAR IS ESSENTIAL: Despite how much you like walking and wish to experience the public transport, we strongly recommend you rent a car. Indeed the nicest beach is not accessible by public transport and there is no taxi station in La Gaulette, therefore a motorised vehicle will come very handy!
For our guests, we offer in addition, car rental services and we may help organising airport transfer shall you need. Just ask!

THE HOUSE: We literally had a heart crush for this property. We felt in love with the stunning sea view, on both Le Morne and L’ile aux Benitiers, and with this spacious house full of charming potential.
Freshly renovated, we made 3 very spacious (about 110 square-meters each) and non-identical terraced houses of this beautiful property. Each house has its own stamp, making them unique.
In this way and according to availability, it is also possible to book for the 3 apartments to accommodate more than 12 people and to enjoy to the fullest the swimming pool and garden with family and friends on the same site.
TROPICAL ISLAND = TROPICAL BUGS: They are tiny and armless, still mosquitoes can be a pest and our local geckoes are not enough to chase them all. While for in-door/out-door the plug-in or coil mosquito repellent are effective, we recommend you use anti-mosquito cream to freely move around, specifically in summer and from dusk.
Having the privilege to live in this region of the island still somewhat preserved and authentic, where the fauna and flora have kept some rights; we share the place with the local animals and insects whose habitats surround us. Inhabitants of sanitized cities, be reassured, the island is pacifist and its small animals too!

Guest access
The house is entirely made available for you to feel at home. Occupy the cupboards and pantries, all the space is dedicated to you. Spacious enough to entertain, you will be comfortable; nevertheless with consideration for the neighbours, the big and loud party day/evenings are to be avoided...
Shall you invite extra guest to stay, it will be subjected to additional fee and to related rules and regulation.
The garden and swimming pool area is common to the 2 other adjoining houses, so respect for others is essential and we wish that it favours meeting people and new long lasting friendships.
The house will be accessible only for confirm guest, no outsiders overnight.

Other things to note
Please bring your beach essential that is not provided with your rental; beach towels, swimwear, parasol, etc…
And don’t forget anti-mosquito and sunscreen, pareo and camera! Creation guaranteed of countless precious memories!

Located in a very peaceful and safe area, all essential commodities are nearby. People living in this part of the island are very kind and helpful. The supermarket is 10 minutes walk from the villa and there are also some local cuisine restaurants in the surroundings and a lively bar to socialise….
There are endless activities to keep you occupied on this side of the island if you wish to get active!
Just to list a few places of interest to visit close by, as well as great activities around the area…
- Hiking Le Morne Mountain
- Kite Surfing or learn to do so, while others read a book at Le Morne public beach instead of watching your performance.

Parents of 3 children, we value the chance that we have to be Mauritian and to live on this beautiful island of Mauritius. The family holds an important place in our life, and we are grateful to have the possibility to leave our children to our siblings when we only travel as a couple. We also love trips with our children, as much as with the extended family, so we try to make a great family holiday from time to time. Thus we are particularly fond of rented houses by private owners. Offering the freedom to live at our family rhythm and accommodate from 2 to 18 of us!
