This 1875 red brick home will take you back to the past. Relax and enjoy the hospitality of Brooke and Nona in comfortable, peaceful, air-conditioned and smoke free surroundings. Relax around the swimming pool or spend a day at the beach. Enjoy a swim in the pool when arriving back from a day of cycling around our beautiful Island. A five minute walk will bring you to the village of Picton where you can meander along at your own pace, enjoy discovering the many restaurants and boutiques.

The space

On arrival, you will enter through the guest entrance which is 69 Union Street. There will be a note on the front door advising you of your entry. All the rooms are located up the stairs on the second floor.
Coffee, tea, fresh muffins and fresh fruit will be available in the mornings on the landing.
Yogurt, fruit juice, milk and cream in the fridge.
Our pool in the back yard will be open for your pleasure and can be accessed through the garden gate on Church Street.

Guest access

The guest area is the second floor and the freedom of the garden where the pool is situated. We do not permit friends of guests swimming in our pool.
The pool is open from 7 am to 11 pm. We ask those who are enjoying an evening swim to please be aware there are others who may be sleeping.
Our BBQ is not for guest use. We have a dog (Max) on the premises and therefore cannot accept guest pets.

Interaction with guests

Brooke will be available to help if requested in the planning of self touring trips around the County where you will find numerous wineries, a number of breweries and a distillery. The scenery is beautiful around the Island, and there are many delightful restaurants and wineries to stop for lunch or a "sun downer" and snacks. In addition, we have a copy of the Sojourner which provides information on all aspects of the County.
Prince Edward Point vies with Point Pelee in SW Ontario as the two major migration points in Ontario and many people visit specifically in May

Nice twin bed room located in picton near the Main Street. Includes a self served Breakfast (bagels, muffins, apples & bananas, yogurts, boxed juice, coffee). It was easy to check in. Nona gave us a day pass for Sandbanks provincial park, which was nice. :-) We wished it was mentioned in the ad that our private bathroom was across the hall. It turned ok but it was stressful not knowing if we would bump into other guests (3 other rooms on the floor). The bedroom door's lock needs to be fixed, didn't lock properly. We mentioned it to the hosts. Hope they will fix it for future guests :-) overhall, we did enjoy our stay there. :-)

Lovely space, great pool and backyard space! Few minutes walk to Picton main street with its great restos and ice cream, across the street from a fabulous conservation area if you're into hikes! The room we stayed in with two single beds had a bathroom separate from it, whereas the others all had bathrooms attached, which we didn't mind but I could see that bothering some. So just keep that in mind with the "White Owl room". Nona kindly offered a pass to Sandbanks beach and restaurant suggestions, and when my car needed some repairs, they helped me find someplace to check in. Breakfast was some lovely fruit and muffins/bagels etc, which is not really what I eat for breakfast but if you do, I think you'd enjoy it! Also great coffee and tea. Overall a fabulous stay.

PEC is such a great area - I come every year and Nona's BNB was great - very quiet at night, great breakfast and coffee in the morning.
