We really enjoyed our stay at the Harrington House. The host, Nonna, was very accommodating and offered some great suggestions for places to visit in the county. The room was exactly as depicted in the photos. Close walk to downtown Picton where you can enjoy restaurants and boutique shops. Loved our stay in Prince Edward County.

Nona's place had basic, comfortable accommodation. She was responsive by phone when needed and was also very accommodating when we wanted to switch rooms. The red room, which we had originally reserved, although nice, has a very small washroom so it's very difficult to fit two people in it. It is also on a busier street therefore much noisier than the green room which is at the side of the house and has a much larger washroom. Nona serves a continental breakfast which includes Costco-style muffins, bagels, jam, cream cheese, fresh fruit, Keurig coffee and all kinds of teas. There is no sit-down eating area so you have to eat in your room. Parking is on the side of the house, where there is a parking pad next to the sidewalk. Rooms have ceiling fans as well as window air conditioners. It is close to Picton's main area and streets.

Perfectly serviceable room and friendly, responsive host. Fairly small and basic amenities - not a great room to spend a lot of time in, but a good base for exploring the area. Note that the pool area is not open until July.

Response from Nona:
Hi Liz and Simon, I had no idea the shower tap was loose, thank you for letting us know It will be fixed immediately. It does state on our website that the garden area would only be open from the 1st July, as we have had so much rain and could not have the pool and the garden ready for guests. I hope you would understand. You could have spoken to us about the pass and the garden. We were around, but did not see you much. We will check the bathroom and see what we can do to make it look better. The charge for your room should not have been $159 but $150 as you do know it is high season. The room is small, maybe I should mention small this on the website. We have not had any other complaints about the size of the room. Maybe something had to do with the very rainy day we had. |You chose to stay in your room.. Pleased to have met you. Nona

Nona and Brooke are great hosts in a great house in a great location. We arrived late after eating cheese and drinking wine and were checked in and comfortable in no time! Brooke's suggestion for dinner was perfect, something we wouldn't have considered. We'll stay again and will encourage our friends to to the same.

Response from Nona:
Hi Allison, We have had this B&B for 16 years and are slowly winding down. No cooked breakfasts, etc. We value your opinions and ask you if you, as a guest, would prefer no TV instead of an old one. Do not understand why the remote does not have volume. Will notify each room where the hairdryer is situated. Thank you
