Xavier house is clean and nice, located in a small quiet town, with good restaurant and grocery store near by. We stay there for 3 nights while we were visiting the Loire vally and Mont St. Michell. Overall is a good place to stay in with fresh air and good enviroment.

After travelling round and staying in lots of AirBnB places over the past 8 months Xavier and Corinne's was the nicest place we stayed in. It is a beautiful traditional stone gite in a delightful village about 18km from Tours. It had everything we were looking for in a place to stay for a month, after cycling round Europe. The place has a fully equipped kitchen, a huge and comfortable bed, twin settees for sitting and reading, an open fireplace and central heating and a spotlessly clean bathroom. Semblancay is a lovely village with a great bakery, a gourmet butcher, and a small friendly grocery store, literally yards from the house. There's also a local post office and pharmacy, and to top it off a local cafe/bar/tabac and a smart village restaurant. Add to that Xavier and Corinne who were wonderful hosts - kind, helpful and for whom nothing was too much trouble - and you've got the perfect place. In all, a beautiful place to stay and decompress from cities and travelling and simply enjoy rural french life! Very highly recommended.

The house was perfectly situated in a charming little village. A butcher, bakery, pharmacy and even a small grocery store are just around the corner. Everything we needed on our trip was available at the house and Corinne and Xavier were perfect hosts! They actually went well beyond my expectations, and I will long remember their help, kindness and generosity.

Lovely, quiet location with fabulous bakery, corner shop and restaurant literally around the corner. Compact and comfortable. Within easy reach of all the attractions along the Loire. We had a very pleasant, relaxing, quiet week. Surprisingly, there was an amazing production (Scenofeerie) in the village on our last night attended by thousands - definitely worth going to if you are here in August. The only disappointment was that the local butcher was closed (had heard good things about the sausages!) as were a lot of other places as most French on holiday in August.

I can highly recommend this property. The host, Xavier, was extremely helpful and welcoming. The house was spotlessly clean and had a cosy relaxed charm. It was absolutely perfect for us as a base for visiting the chateaux and vineyards of the Loire Valley. The village has everything you need...a little shop, bakery, butcher, as well as the wonderful restaurant La Mere Hamard (the BEST meal we have had on our trip, by far...see the reviews on Trip Advisor, etc!) and all just a short stroll around the corner! Wonderful! We are so pleased we decided to stay here as opposed to staying in one of the larger towns and only wish we could have stayed longer. If you are considering a trip to/through the area, I can highly recommend it....we would not hesitate to return.
