Be challenged by the basic conditions of the hut and amenities. But let your heart be touched by the magic of a traditional culture. Allow yourself to be carried away by the traditional dancing and dress. And let the experience change you forever.

Prices include freshly cooked village meals and a mountain sunset walk .

The space
Lowiasia Village is a traditional kastom village in Tanna. They live a traditional subsistence lifestyle with garden crops boosted by some kastom dances for tourists and now hosting guests! 'New' kastom uses calico and other materials within their traditional dress or as Chief Lui says "kastom for today".

I'm Prue - I live in Sydney with my family. Back in 2005 I did my University honours thesis in Tanna, Vanuatu. The experience changed my life. Tasked with research with people who spoke in Bislama (pidgin english spoken in Vanuatu) plus many hundreds of other local languages - Iawilum and her family hosted me and helped me navigate the language, village and culture. We have been friends ever since with children of similar ages. I am helping Iawilum, her family and village establish this AirBnB so others have an opportunity to have an experience of true village life.
