We visited Belfast during the first week in August and fell immediately in love with the town, its people and our hosts Mollie and Jim. Our flat was very well appointed, bed "comfy comfy", sitting room had cable TV, and the kitchen had all appliances needed for two people. Great AC for hot nights, though not too many of those....You can walk down to a local Dollar Store and drive less than a mile to the local grocery store that sells everything including beer, wine and spirits. The little town is downhill to the bay....lots of bars, and places to eat yummy lobster! (within walking distance for those fit for uphill walking returning to the flat) We recommend Young's Lobster Pound across the bay. Do not miss the Saturday Farmer's Market to stock up on summer veggies and yummy Maine Blueberries! We highly recommend this flat as your place to stay when you come to this beautiful part of the United States.

This is a spotless, well equipped and centrally located property. The hosts were helpful in every way. The apartment is very private despite being attached to the host's home. Belfast is a terrific destination, our favorite among all of our explorations of the Maine coast.

Our stay in Belfast was outstanding. We felt like we were staying with family. We enjoyed visiting with Mollie, she was always available to answer questions and help us with plans we had. We would wake up and find the paper on the step with notes about thing she thought we would be interested in. Mollie loaned us maps, hiking guide, extra pans from her own kitchen and even brought us homemade apple pie she had left from her afternoon garden group. Belfast is an amazingly safe place, a small town that loves its visitors. We spent a lot of time walking their amazing walking trail and shopping in the small shops. We traveled up the coast to Acadia National Park and spent time visiting small towns up and down the coast. A truly lovely and relaxing place to visit. Our only regret is being from New Mexico we will probably not make it back to Maine, but we took home memories to last a lifetime. We would definitely recommend staying at Jim and Mollies. It is exactly as pictured and described.

Jim Miller and Mollie Noyes are your hosts. Either of us may respond to your inquires. Jim works for WoodenBoat Publications and Mollie is a retired second grade teacher. Jim travels a great deal and Mollie manages apt. and gardens. Summers are short and we can be found on the water during the warm months as often as possible. We are happy to share the apt with visitors to Belfast.
