The space

The apartment is located in the main tower of the Castrum of Serravalle, an ancient medieval fortress in the historical center of Vittorio Veneto. It offers its guests the possibility of spending an unforgettable holiday in contact with nature and art in very charming and well furnished surroundings.
Serravalle is an ancient borough, an architectural jewel of the Veneto and is not a touristic town so the visitor can really experiment the Italian way of life.
The castle is a wonderful starting point to visit Venice, Treviso, Asolo, Verona, Cortina d’Ampezzo and the Dolomites, the Adriatic beaches and a very panoramic golf course in the Cansiglio forest (about 15 km).
The apartment gives onto a private park of about one hectar totally encircled by ancient embattled walls and containing a solarium area with an “upside down shower” to refresh oneself in the hot summer days.
The apartment includes an entrance, a large living room entirely decorated with sitting room and dining area with a beautiful view of the mountains, two double bedrooms with a bathroom in the middle (tub/shower and bidet plus hairdryer and courtesy set). The two bedrooms have TV and in the main one there is a safe. Internet wifi is available in the living area.
The apartment has an exclusive terrace with a large table and also a gas barbecue.
The separate kitchen is not large but well equipped with gas fires, electric oven, fridge, microwave oven, dishwasher, boiler, and American coffee machine.
There is also a guest bathroom (wash-basin and wc).
The heating is independent and has to be paid on consumption.
A parking space is available inside the castle free of charge.
Should it be necessary there is an additional separate and independent double room with private bath (cost to be added).
Within walking distance from the castle there are a number of osterias, restaurants and pizzeria for pleasant dinners.

Guest access

The whole garden is available. There is also a solarium with sunbeds and a "douche renversée"
for the summer days.

Unbelievable, magical, enchanted, ancient. This place is the real deal, literally at minimum 900 years old and was built on top of a prior roman castle. With the Dolomite mountains next door and Venice the same distance, it's ideal for location. You really feel like you went back in time. But just like back in time there was no AC so if your bringing a modern "princess" make sure she knows and or book months that aren't steamy hot.

Just another glowing review to add to the many that this airbnb already has. It was a spectacular place to stay, driving through the gates into a castle and knowing that you're going to be staying there was a special feeling! The space is fantastic, the rooms are comfy and clean, and the terrace has a wonderful view out to the mountains. The location is great too, with plenty to do and see in Vittorio Veneto itself but also much more in close proximity - Venice and the Dolomites to name a few. We loved our stay here and couldn't recommend it more highly!

We were completely bowled over with the charm and beauty of the Castrum as soon as we arrived. Ada was a very practical and charming host and provided us with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The apartment is spacious and well equipped and has a wonderful large terrace with great views. The excellent laundry facility was particularly helpful. The Castrum is located in the beautiful old part of Vittoria Veneto that oozes character. The area is quite and peaceful but you also have the choice of many restaurants nearby should you wish to eat out. Ada's gorgeous dogs were a special treat and added a wonderful feel to the whole place.

What a wonderful gem in Italy to find a small, and affordable castle accommodation. Ada welcomed us into her castle and we had a wonderful few days there as a family. The children loved all things castle: the big gate entrance, the well, the castle walls, the grounds etc. It was quiet, and peaceful and an easy walk to the village for gelato, groceries or an evening out. The castle entrance opens to a small wine bar a few evenings on the weekend, a nice surprise to learn and taste the wine and prosecco of the region. Many thanks to Ada for an unforgettable experience!

You will not be disappointed if you come to stay at Ada's Castrum. It is amazing as the photos look, both inside and out. Ada is a great host, with lots of information and recommendations about both he Castrum, the town and the local area. The Castrum is in a great location. We spent a day driving around the Prosecco vineyards, and another up into the Dolomites. You can also easily trip down to Venice and there are plenty of other interesting places to visit. And the local little town below is worthy of spending time at itself. Some good little cafes and restaurants, the pizzeria was particularly good. But just spending time on the balcony, drinking Prosecco and eating cheese from the local formaggio, is more than enough to enjoy. And Ada's charming dogs will keep you amused. And if you run out of Prosecco, you don't have to go far, as the Castrum has its own little Enoteca (wine bar) with the castle walls. We can't speak highly enough of Ada and our stay in her Castrum. We are already plotting our own return!

Stop looking around. You get to stay in a castle. We had a wonderful stay here with my parents and our 1 year old daughter. Ada speaks incredible English and was able to provide wonderful suggestions for us. At the weekend the town nearby comes alive and there is a vibrant local community that welcomes you in. There is also an enotecha/bar in the castle to add even more wonder to this fantastic place. We will absolutely try to come back and stay again.

Beautiful green surroundings, great host, and near the home of Prosecco. The stay is wonderful and the charm of the castle is literally breathable. I highly recommend and I am planning to go back.
