Our house is close to some lovely parks - one with gym equipment, , walks and cycle paths and public transport (15 mins to town). You’ll love my place because of the location, the people, the ambiance (room is part of a 18th Century cottage with original beams, inglenook and baker's oven). Our house is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families with kids.(A cot and single mattress on floor is available on request) Own fridge available in kitchen during your stay
To those who find this interesting, we have access to local allotments where a huge range of fruit, vegetables and flowers are grown. The area we live in is fairly secluded but is within short walking distance of the multicultural hub of Cowley Rd, with its vast range of shops and restaurants.. The house is near an old pub called the Marsh Harrier with a pleasant garden. The house is twenty minutes walking distance from O2 Academy if you are coming to Oxford to see a gig.
Guests have access to a shared kitchen (with own fridge), bathroom and garden, as well as their own room. Please note that it is a downstairs bedroom and the shared bathroom is upstairs.
Interaction with guests
We are happy to orientate guests new to Oxford and offer advise re interesting things of interest/rainy day activities.
Other things to note
Our grandchildren are around occasionally.
- Must not be allergic to dogs
No smoking in the room but guests can smoke in the garden
I'm a busy outdoor person. I often spend time on my allotments and enjoy making jam and cakes using the produce. Breakfast at my house will always include homemade jam!
I enjoy reading and can always lend guests a book.
