The self contained contemporary Barn is a luxurious couples retreat, located next to the owners home and surrounded by beautiful AONB countryside with outstanding views.
Close to many famous houses and gardens including Sissinghurst Castle, Great Dixter, Chartwell, Batemans and Charleston also the South Downs.
The Spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is a 20 minute drive away. Wadhurst our nearest village has everything you need, supermarket, a fantastic butcher, deli, 2 pubs and takeaways.

The space
The Douglas Fir framed barn is a luxurious, generously sized but cosy open plan space that we built around 10 years ago, it has tremendous attention to detail ,all on one level, only the shower room is a separate room for privacy. Its furnished with quirky pieces bought on our travels.
We provide a welcome basket with eggs from our free range chickens, ( when they are laying, winter is limited) homemade bread and granola, butter ,yoghurt, tea and coffee, milk and sugar. If there are any of these items you don't require please let me know.
The barn has everything you need for a self catering holiday, a really well equipped cooks kitchen, small fridge with ice drawer, gas Rangemaster cooker with additional hot plate and grill, Dualit toaster, good knives, Nespresso machine with eco refillable pods, electric whisk, nutri bullet, hand blender, le Creuset pans etc. We supply all the towels and bed linen which is top quality 500 thread count, or sumptuous French linen, cool in summer.
The very comfy 5’ king size bed, everyone comments on how comfortable the bed is.
There are two large sofas.
The wood burning stove makes this barn a year round cosy space and in the winter we supply logs, fire lighters , matches. There is electric heating also.
Sonos smart speaker.
Record player with a large vinyl selection.

We have some amazing pubs with great food close by.
Great walking through deer parks and the South Downs and cycling in and around Bedgebury and the local villages.
Bewl Water has some fabulous walks around it and there is a Bistro only a stones throw from the waters edge.
Bedgebury Pinetum is very popular for walking with its restaurant as a pit stop.
We are 35 minutes away from the coast, Rye Harbour and Hastings make great days out.
There is an Indian restaurant in Wadhurst and plenty of places for coffee.
Lovely interiors/gift shop @ONE in Wadhurst selling my handmade lampshades, rugs and many things you have seen in the barn.

I'm originally from Lancashire and moved to London 25 years ago where I worked as a photographic makeup artist. Moving to our present home 12 years ago. We have 2 dogs and a cat ,who thinks he's a dog and several chickens who supply us with their lovely fresh eggs which we happily share with our guests. I’m a keen cook, sometimes rustling up a treat for my guests or I’m upholstering anything that sits still long enough, making lampshades to sell and working on my veg and cutting garden. Recently I’ve started making ceramics so the shelves are overflowing with my dishes and plates ( they wouldn’t make it onto the shelves at Heals yet!) Whenever possible I love pottering about antique fairs and the odd car boot sale. I enjoy meeting new people and am passionate about this incredible piece of England.
