This is a listing for a MASTER BEDROOM/PRIVATE BATH in a SHARED house. Meaning the common area is shared possibly with other guests/owners. The home is close to scenic trails, hospital, MSU and free public transport is across the street. Downtown is about 1.5 miles, accessible by the trails. The home has been remodeled, includes wheelchair accessibility. A large chef kitchen, fireplace, deck with a view. An option to rent the whole upstairs is available, sleeps 6 (see other listing).
This home is a two level home, with a basement apartment where over resides (with a dog). This room is perfect for a single or couple travelers. It has a modern with a touch of industrial, fresh feel. This room has it's own bathroom. All common area(s) will be shared possibly with other guest(s) and/or owner(s). Laundry is downstairs in the private basement area, a 24 hr notification is needed (sometimes less) to be able to use it.
The upstairs is almost fully remodeled (still some items will need attending to, like update windows, fireplace, some detail work, putting up art, etc...). The kitchen is a complete chef kitchen, that holds the owner(s) personal items, so please treat with extra care. There is one shared full bathroom in the hallway. All rooms have closets. Each room has their own personality. Great views from the living room, that includes a gas fireplace for extra coziness. This is the main source of heat in the home...therefore it will shut off once temperature is met.
You will be able to park one car in the driveway, if available, please keep to the far right side (downstairs tenant will use the left side) OR park on street if a car is already there. The door has a code access and this code will be given to you via airbnb or emailed a day in advance. There will be another door code for your individual room if you choose to want to lock your door. If you are in need of wheelchair access, there is a pathway that goes to the back of the house with a ramp access. You will need to access the front first and unlock the back door.
Interaction with guests
Currently, owner(s) are living in the basement and works from home. This person shares the kitchen space on occasion. If there is a need, the best way is to text AMY first. In an emergency situation, try knocking on the door for assistance or call 911, depending on the emergency need.
Also, the kitchen (as well as the garage area), is used occassionally as a test/production kitchen for Amy's business. So, please stop and say "Hi" if I am around.
Other things to note
The owner has a labradoodle. The dog will be on the premises (yard and downstairs). The door going to the basement will be kept closed at all times. Possibly locked. Again, please notify us if you need laundry done, since it will be in this area. There is sound proofing between the two levels, but loud enough vibrations and noise will still be heard. Please be respectful of downstairs resident(s). Sorry, but no dogs/pets allowed for this type of booking. We may have other housemates and we want to be considerate of their needs and peaceful experience too.

I grew up in a small town, so even though I love visiting cities, I am a country girl at heart. I love the mountains, water and wide open spaces, so Montana is a perfect fit for me. Travel is one way that helps me keep life in perspective. I love it because I am one who loves change and challenges. I love to meet new people, discover new things and try new things from food to different activities. I don't spend much time watching TV, movies or even u-tube (unless during research or studying new things). I am a photographer and like to dwindle in real estate as well enjoys starting new ventures (businesses). I can be quiet or chatty, depending on my mood. I love the outdoors and have learned recently to snowboard (splitboarding) and white river kayaking. I love to laugh and dance (swing and country), listen to live bands and reading is something I wish I would do more of. I have a wonderful labradoodle, my travel companion (he has traveled many countries with me) and my service dog, who is very friendly and smart. My life motto is "no regrets"... so, I try to live my life fully. If I am around, I would love to chat over coffee or a drink and get to know you more.
