Our place is close to restaurants and the city centre. You’ll love the coziness, becoming part of the family, and great chats about life and Cuban history. Riki is a skilled diving instructor and has gear for even larger groups. Why not catch your own lobster and have it prepared on our barbecue in the patio for dinner with Neisy's delicious food to accompany it? Would you like to go horse back riding to a nearby water fall for a swim? Taxi or bus to fantastic Playa Ancon? We are here to help.
Our house is a traditional Cuban house with a somewhat narrow facade, and everything extends beyond the front door into a living room, a long roof covered but partly open aisle with the rooms untill you get to the kitchen and the partly roof-covered patio, where the huge dining table sits - the heart of the house where great barbecuing and socializing and lively discussions take place.
Guests will have access to all parts of the house except the private bed rooms and bathroom of Riki, Neisy and Ricardo.
Interaction with guests
We are happy to help you out - whether it is about snorkling, diving, horse back riding, transport to the beach, taxi or bus to other citities, and we even have many good relations in other cities to be able to help you finding accomodation elsewhere. Just let us know what you need, and we will let you know if we can help
Other things to note
The International Clinic (hospital) is our next door neighbour, and in there you can buy bottled water 24-7 (and it is not always that easy to find particularly in the night time).
Within walking distance you will find the historic center of Trinidad including Casa de la Musica (which is actually not a house but a large open space in the middle of a stair case) and many other places where traditional Cuban music is played.
It is safe to walk the streets in the night time - that is the nice thing about this place.
- You will get your own key to the house and can come and go as you like. We offer to cook any meal you like, but it is not obligatory. Foreigners have to register and show valid passport and visa, when they arrive (Cuban legislation). Otherwise no rules - we just expect you to be friendly and respect our property :-)
- Guests should just be aware that we have a friendly blue-eyed husky dog.
- If you wish to invite other people to our house, we must be notified and agree on that first
