You will like our place if you are looking for a comfortable stay away from the hubbub of the old city. Our place is located in a pleasant and quiet residential part of the city which is easily accessible from the city centre.

I am a community architect whose work is based in Delhi & Jaipur. My parents stay in the house in a separate room and you will have your own private entry and bathroom. We all love traveling and meeting fellow travelers, and would love to share about our city with you.

The space

An air-conditioned en-suite bedroom with ample light, which we have painted a cool blue to keep from the desert heat! A good WiFi connection accessible from our home PC and sumptuous breakfast with tea/coffee to start your day.

Guest access

The room is accessible from the front entrance. My parents live in another room which is accessible from the back entrance. I visit often and am based between Delhi and Jaipur.

You will have access to our living room and kitchen, and are free to do your laundry when the washing machine is free! You are free to come and go as you please and are welcome to use our dining space for meals. Since you would be sharing the living/ dining space with us, we would appreciate it if you didn't use it after 11 pm.

Interaction with guests

My parents run their own school which is close by and will be in and out of the house during the day. I visit on regular weekends. You are welcome to approach any of us with anything you need. We are happy to tell you about our city and help you figure out how to get around and what you'd like to do.

Being travelers ourselves, we all love talking to our guests but also understand that sometimes they just need peace and quiet, just as we do too at times :)

Other things to note

We are flexible with the check in and check out times if you can communicate them in advance, so don't worry about the timings listed above!

The Janus are a lovely family and they will make you feel at home. Highly recommended for the substantial breakfast, the kindness of the hosts and the spotlessness of the house! The location is not central but the neighborhood (Vaishali) is interesting in itself and is connected to the city centre and the main sights by the metro.

Swati's place was conveniently located and relaxing. Her parents were incredibly welcoming and very helpful in speaking to my tuk tuk driver over the phone to direct him to the place. I loved the home cooked food and their cook was kind enough to make sure it wasn't too spicy for me! I highly recommend taking the nearby metro to get to the heart of the old city, with the closest station being a ten minute tuk tuk ride away from their place. Highly recommend had a wonderful stay!

Even though I only booked the room a couple of hours before arriving in Jaipur, Manju and OP were really kind and welcoming. A delicious dinner was served soon after I came. The room was comfortable and the place was located in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. A taxi took me to the old city centre in about 15 min. Would definitely stay here again if ever traveling through Jaipur again.

I'm a community architect and artist who loves traveling solo. Equally fun, though challenging, has been travelling with my family which we try to do every year since we all live in different cities & countries. And, each time we find the different ways in which our relationships have grown an inch taller :)
