Thank you very much to Andre for his welcoming! He has been really helpful to me while I was in an embarrassing situation. His house is clean and quite big, I had a really nice time there.

Andre is a very friendly man and made us feel welcome at his place. The cottage is comfortable and had everything that we needed.Unfortunately we were only there for one night and so did not get to explore the area around the cottage much. The village seems quaint and quiet and is a perfect stop off from the Cabot trail.

Our arrival coincided with Hurricane Matthew, downgraded from that status but still packing near gale force winds and torrential rains that smashed records across Cape Breton. It was 3:00pm. Our host Andre had already been to the Cottage twice to ensure we had arrived safely and were prepared to weather the night. The next morning he was checking the mechanical system in the crawl space, accessible through an outside door and not disturbing us. The Cottage provided a distant but good view of the harbour from the far bedroom and we temporarily moved a side table and two chairs in front of the picture window here to enjoy the view. The Cottage provided the perfect base for us from which to explore hiking trails in nearby Meat Cove and to venture out on a whale watching cruise from Bay St. Lawrence. Cape St. Lawrence is well worth the trek, and even late in the season we saw numerous white-sided dolphins, pilot whales, and a minke whale on the whale cruise. Our stay was one of two solitudes - the awesomeness of storm seas crashing onto the spectacular Cape Breton shoreline followed by calm seas and clear skies. We thank Andre for a wonderful stay.

This is our second time staying with this host. Andre and Helen are very friendly and easy going people. They helped us find an amazing hiking trail, which was one of the reasons that we came back to the area. We really loved our stay although we thought there were two double beds in the house - one is more of a 3/4 size, which was too small to comfortably sleep 2. The house is older and once Andre has completed his planned updates it will be great - the location can't be beat!

Very nice house in a secluded community. The surroundings are wonderful. Close to the middle of the Cabot trail, all main places are within 1 hour of driving. The house is very pleasant and Andre is a very nice guy. We loved and we recommend.
