This apartment is a calm restful retreat located within walking distance to downtown Black Mountain and Lake Tomahawk. We are 2 blocks from the weekly farmers market held each Saturday morning throughout summer. The apartment is extremely private with a separate entrance, parking and two outside sitting areas but does adjoin owners home on one wall.
The property is an official Certified Wildlife Habitat® site with the National Wildlife Federation and North Carolina Wildlife Federation.
As a certified wildlife habitat site, the gardens and yard are a friend of wildlife and are helping birds, butterflies and other local wildlife. That is one reason many weeds such as the dandelion will be left. This dandelion is used by hummingbirds to build their nests. In addition, no pesticides are used. This certification puts us one habitat closer to the Million Pollinator Garden Challenge, a national effort to restore critical habitat for pollinators.
The owners do have two dogs that use the backyard. There are also two older cats that may be in the outside areas. Therefore the backyard is not suitable for guests. There is a private sitting area next to the apartment and a garden swing in front.
Other things to note
The owner has 2 dogs and 2 cats. The dogs will not have access to any Airbnb space. The cats will not come inside but will visit the outdoor area.
