This is a small cozy cabin on the creek, nestled amongst the towering cedar trees. You'll enjoy peaceful outdoor fires and relaxing soaks in the cedar wood-fired tub. Watch wildlife from the back porch or take the canoe for your own private creek excursion. A short ride east takes you into Mt. Baker's vast wilderness where you can enjoy the glaciers, mountains, rivers and trails. Head west and quench your thirst and hunger at Northfork Brewery and Pizzeria.

The space

This cabin has an open loft design which has a ladder and low ceiling. There is one multi level deck, one porch and a dock on the creek. Please refrain from using candles, it is a log cabin. There are some candles but only for decoration, thanks. Feel free to use our cast iron pans, just no soap please, hot water and condition with oil, thanks. The cabin is on a small lot with neighboring houses nearby but they are both vacant. The street is a dead end and very quiet but the main road nearby can be a bit noisy but not at night. You may think our rate is high but this is the whole cabin, cleaning charge is included and we do not charge for extra people.

We had a very pleasant stay at this cabin and hiked the nearby (1hr drive) Skyline Divide, which was gorgeous- highly recommend! There are a few quaint grocery markets within 10 minute drive. The cabin itself is tiny and cozy, very clean, with a comfortable lofted bed. Getting the hot tub water warm was a lot of fun (it's heated with a wood burning stove) and there is space for a bonfire and canoes/ kayaks to enjoy.

The cabin is great! My friend and I stayed there while hiking nearby. I slept in the loft which was accessed by a steep ladder but there are several perfectly placed handles which made going up and down easy. The house is tiny but lots of hooks and nooks and crannies for stashing your stuff. The kitchen was really great for such a small space; we ate in for breakfast and dinner. We sat on the dock each evening. We did not get a chance to try out the canoe or the hot tub, but would do both next time if we visit again. Only caveats, which did not bother us at all, but things you should keep in mind if considering: the foot side of the loft bed is in the eaves. If you had two tall people sleeping in it, that might be a problem. You can hear some traffic noise but once you tune it out you can just enjoy the trees and the view and the very cool log cabin.

We had a nice weekend stay at April's cabin. The cabin had everything we needed in a cozy setting. We felt a little too claustrophobic in the loft bed area but luckily there's a comfortable futon that serves as an alternative sleeping surface. As mentioned in a previous review, a nearby rooster started crowing around 5:30am. Still enjoyed our stay, and the proximity to Mount Baker-area trailheads.

My family and I stayed here for a mini summer vacation and had a fantastic time. The place is extremely clean, the hot tub was awesome and the kids had a blast on the lake with the canoe. This place is the perfect balance between creature comforts and rustic charm. We would definitely return. As mentioned you are close to the main road, so you do hear traffic but you can't complain if you have been forewarned. Thank you April, you have a terrific place here

Nice little cabin, wasn't quite prepared for the amount of traffic noise from the main road. The creek was more like a large, shallow pond but fun to take the canoe out on. Price seemed a bit steep for location and noise. April was lovely and very easy to deal with.

April's place is perfect for a little get away. The structure of the cabin is so cute with a little hot tub on the balcony. We made smores on the bonfire and went sailing in the canoe provided - was such a lovely little find and we were sad to leave!

We are a very active couple that travels between Washington and Alaska for work and pleasure. We both love the cabin and Mt. Baker but also love Alaska.
