Romantic flat in one of the most beautiful streets in the picturesque area of Pigneto, 15 mins away by public transportation from the main train station and well connected to main attractions. The room is luminous, but also keeps cool in the summer season. The apartment has high ceilings, marble floors and a lovely sunny kitchen terrace.
Fluently spoken languages: english, italian, spanish, german, french, portuguese, romanian.
We are enthusiastic hosts, looking forward to meeting you!

The space

Couples, friends travelling together and lone travellers.

Guest access

Guests are welcome in all the common areas of the house, including our beautiful kitchen terrace perfect for breakfast in the sun. We also have access to a beautiful Roman terrace overlooking the neighborhood. You can of course cook and wash your clothes if necessary.

Interaction with guests

We all work and study but we also like to spend time at home. When we are in, we are happy to give tips about the city, places to visit, things to do. Each of us, accordingly to our daily schedule and personal interests, will be happy to show you around the wonderful city of Rome or, if you prefer, just give you some advices, providing maps and suggestions.
Our purpose about the place we rent is to make you feel at Home!

Other things to note

There is a restaurant downstairs and while there is no music or noise audible from the inside, sometimes people are smoking in the street and talking a bit too loud in the evening. The neighbourhood is very quiet during the day, but lively at night, especially in the summer, so this comes with the territory. :)
This hasn't been a problem so far with our guests, but we feel this is a fair warning.
PS: We also have a little kitty. She is friendly and playful!

Michele's place is right outside of pigneto which is semi close to a tram that takes you to the main station. However, this tram was extremely unreliable for us since it broke down all the time and made us late for our train (not Michele's fault, just something to think about) the town pigneto has lots of shops and restaurants that were really good. Michele lives with her boyfriend and they basically just do their own thing. She was very helpful with directions and in answering questions but we overall didn't feel very welcome. The stay was fine it just wasn't anything special

Alessia & Michele are sweet hosts, their description is perfect. I was feeling under the weather when I showed up & it was great to feel free to take care of myself & relax. If you are lucky you will get to hear Michele play guitar & sing in his room during the day. The street art which is everywhere in Pigneto is amazing! It's very lively at night, if you need it quieter just close the big windows- they are solid & block the extra sounds. Also if you are lucky you will have these windows open during the day and get to see & hear green parrots fly by! Info for vegan travelers; there is a bio/organic store just down the street next to Panis Nature via Romanello de Forli, 21. great bread & everything you need to cook your own food. Out for late dinner: go to Ossido vegan bistro via gentile da mogliano 154/156. day time: Vitamins 24 via Ascoli Piceno 40/42. Necci near Michele's has amazing soy cappuccino. enjoy!

Alessia and Michele were very welcoming and their place is lovely. They did not only provide us with a big private room, but also with helpful information on the city and the activities we planned throughout our week in Rome. The apartment is situated in a lovely rather alternative area of Rome next to Pigneto Metro station. You can find many bars, restaurants and shops in the area and it was really easy to figure out how to get from A to B (either by foot or by bus/metro - it only takes around 40 minutes to reach the centro storico and the colosseo by foot). Our most favourite spot was Spaghetti a mezzanotte. If you spend some days at Alessias and Micheles place, you should definitely check it out! Their pasta is amazing. We had a lovely time and we would definitely come again!

Overall, the stay in Michele's home was good. It's close to Pigneto metro station, what was very handy for us. The neighborhood seems a bit run down, but we didn't have problems with security. Michele and Alexia were kind with us, letting us checkin earlier and giving us tips about touristic spots. Dee, the flatmate, was very kind as well. Just to let you know, there is another AirBnB room, so with the full house will be seven people sharing the house and the only toilet/bathroom (it wasn't a problem for us, but is good to know that before booking). There isn't a microwave, but the kitchen is equipped with plates, pots, cutlery, etc allowing you to cook. One more thing, I already suggested to the host to include a fan in the bedroom, since it was very hot in the Roman summer and to sleep without any cooler was a challenge. Thank you, all the best!

This was a really good experience. Don't judge anything by its look. The building looks like an old one but in the inside you will find a nice and comfortable apartment. Privacy never stops. Even if you have to sleep with the door open because of the 40° degrees Celsius. I strongly recommend this option if you want to visite Rome with low budget. I also recommend you not to use the metro to go there. When you arrive in Termini, take the tram number 14 or 5. It will take you more quickly to your destination!

Would fully recommend staying here. Michele, Alessia and Dee were really great hosts. Felt very at home. They gave good advice about restaurants in the area, gave great directions to the apartment and were flexible about check in time. I snapped the key in the door and it was replaced immediately with no fuss. Was invited for drinks, offered watermelon and got to play with their very very cute kitten.

The room was nice and clean but loud in the evenings from the restaurant below. The hosts were helpful and friendly, and we appreciated their neighbourhood suggestions. The listing advertised breakfast which was not included, but after several days we were offered a gift card at the cafe nearby for a single breakfast. The gesture was appreciated, but overall a little disappointing. Pigneto is a vibrant area to stay but far from the main sites in Rome. It is a perfect place to stay if you're looking for more of a local experience which we enjoyed.
