Huge villa-appartment (169 m2) from 1867 with private parking, that you can use (possibility of 2 cars) and full basement (150 m2) with own kitchen, bathroom and own entry. The city center is within walking distance and it is in a quiet, green neighbourhood with many gardens, trees and flowers. Extremely well connected to everything. From the airport, where the metro leaves from, Forum station is only 800 m away. Contains 5 separate bedrooms. Ideal for several families traveling together.
The villa appartment is situated right next to the shopping-street Gammel Kongevej (Old Kings Road) as well as the french quarter (Værnedamsvej), and the lively Vesterbro. Everything within walking/biking distance. It is very quiet at night, and it certainly does not feel as if you are so close to the heart of the city.
Note: We have room for 12 persons. This counts 6 regular beds (2 doubles), two sleeping sofas and 2 regular mattresses. 8 of the beds needs to stay where they are, but the four flexible ones can be placed exactly as you please (one of the sleeping sofas can be easily moved).
Note 2: A villa-appartment consist of two individual appartments, who share the garden, parking-lot, common expenses for the house etc. So we have a family living upstairs with 2 kids - 4 and 11 yrs.), who are flexible and very easy to talk to. We sincerely ask you to be considerate of them when it comes to noise and and other possible inconveniences, when they are home. We have agreed with them not to define any specific rules other than common sense - and just being considerate.
The appartment is ideal for a big family or two families traveling together. Although ideal for that as well, we will (no longer) accomodate big groups of younger people (we have had one incident of a group who were not sufficiently considerate towards our neighbours, and we do not want that to happen again).
You have access to our entire home. However, since the garden is a shared garden with our upstairs-neighbours, we have agreed, that they will have first priority of the garden (when relevant), when they are at home, meaning if they plan to dine in the garden, have people come over, an arrangement or the like, they will have first priority to use the garden. You can be in and use the garden as you want, but just be considerate. They may not be there in july, but if they are, we will ask you to respect this "priority-policy". If they are home, do not hesitate to ask them about the use. We do not assume that this will be a problem at all.
Other things to note
We are a danish-french family of four; Tobias (father, danish) who is advisor in politics, Pauline (mother, french), who work with HR in an international organization, Marius (13), passionate soccer-player at F.C. Copenhagen (FCK) and Isabel (10) the household's most creative soul, who plays basketball. We live a two-language/two-culture life very close to the french school in Copenhagen. We love traveling and have just started using Airbnb in other countries, so we thought it would be natural to also be part of the "movement". We love to live in Copenhagen and feel so often lucky to live in such a nice and quiet neighbourhood, yet still right next to all the best the city can offer.
