Little Pudding Cottage 's Welsh name is Pontbren-Ddu and is a beautiful example of a country hideaway. Nestled in the Welsh countryside, just into the Cambrian Mountains, it enjoys the splendour of nature and peaceful calm of times past. The accommodation is full of character and original charm, while maintaining the modern comforts of home. With its own garden, this former shepherd's cottage is surrounded by rugged hills and an unspoilt rural landscape at the very end of a single-track road.

The space
The detached cottage is very remote and you really do feel like you are getting away from it all. There are plenty of walks on the doorstep where you are very unlikely to meet another person. You are surrounded by wildlife, including many sheep, wild horses, rabbits, pheasants, polecats and many species of bird including kestrel, red kite and barn owls. The conservatory gives you spectacular views whatever the weather, whilst the summerhouse is the perfect place to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset.

I am a music teacher who loves the buzz of working with young people. However in the holidays I like to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet! I found Little Pudding Cottage a few years ago and fell in love with it. I would love to share it with others who are looking for a similar rural holiday. It is remote with stunning views, long walks on the doorstep, streams, hills, wildlife, stars - the perfect place to escape and recharge the batteries!
