Hi, this is a comfortable double room in my house. Shared bathroom/kitchen. Approx 3 miles from Stirling centre.
I am flexible about arriving/departing times, no problem with arriving late evening provided I know in advance. Basic breakfast (bread, cereal, fruit) provided.
It's approximately 2-3 miles from Stirling centre, it is walkable (takes 30-40 minutes) and many guests do walk it. My rate reflects that I'm not in the town centre. Bus route nearby and free street parking.

The space

A newly decorated, bright room with a lovely view of the Ochil Hills, Stirling Castle and the Wallace monument.

Guest access

Shower/bathroom is shared as is the kitchen (room in fridge for any essentials), basic breakfast provided, help yourself to tea/coffee anytime. There is a garden where you can sit out - weather dependent, it is Scotland after all! (Smoking allowed in the garden only). The house is well equipped (I have had lodgers in the past so it works very well). Free wifi. Constant hot water. Room in the fridge for basics if you need it.

Interaction with guests

I don't work set hours so I'm around much of the time but not intrusive. I've worked in tourism so can answer most questions and help you plan your trip.
I've also travelled a lot so love to meet new people of all cultures.

My girlfriend and I spent a lovely night at Fiona's bnb. It was a beautiful room in a beautiful house. It had a nice homely feel to it. It was very affordable as well. We had an incredible view of the Scottish highlands. I would highly recommend the stay.

The house is nice and cosy and we even walked thru town to Stirling Castle. We visited some pubs on our way for research purposes. There was no fuss with anything.

Fiona was very good at communicating with us, very flexible about check in and check out and extremely welcoming. The bedroom was very spacious, beautifully decorated and had everything you could want. The bathroom, kitchen & whole house were great, very well set out annd spotlessly clean. The ability to make brews and breakfast was a real bonus. The house is very handy for getting into Stirling. I would not hesitate to recommend Fiona's home as a place to stay.
