Rental rooms for foreigners who want to experience life in Colombia Countryside. What I love about this place is the tranquility, the surroundings , the Eco-walks, have a nice mud bath in the river, watch the beautiful birds, in a hot climate and family environment. The experience we offer is the opportunity to be, stay and share with a Colombian family while learning about our culture, helping out our social projects that are aim to help the environment and community through education.

The space
This Countryside house is located at only 1.5 hours from Bogota. In the Village of San Javier - La Mesa. The bungalow guest house has 5 rooms with two shared toilets to host 5 to 8 people. It is annexed to the main house where you will find the lounge and dinner table. We offer the use of all facilities. You will benefit from Ecological Walks, River mud baths, Fossil Hunting, Bird Watching, Hot Climate and a Family Environment. You will also benefit of eating fresh fruit from the garden like : Mangoes, banana, papaya, guanabana, guayaba.

Guest access
You will have access to the communal areas like the kitchen,dining room, sitting room and gardens. You will be stay in the same farm with the host family.

Other things to note
You can take organized tours to go Caving or potholing (exploring, finding and visiting caves in other places in Colombia like Santander and Boyaca). Or

1: The Orchid Sanctuary
2: Waterfalls (Cascada la Monja, Cascada Salto del Tequendama)
3: The Pedro Palo Lake.
4: Nearby towns like Anapoima, Tocaima, Tena,La Esperanza.
5: Agrotourism Tours to the coffee and sugar cane farms where you will be able to learn the process of coffee and sugar cane into panela, also taste them in the farms.
6: Rural Tours, Ecological Walk or trekking by the Apulo River where you can have a mud bath
7: Ecological walk to the "La Cruz" Peak

I am a very friendly host who likes visitors and to look after them. I am retired from my job in the city now to carry on working at the B&B. I enjoy extreme sports specially Caving or potholing. I very much love nature, long walks and the nearby river. Stay for long and benefit from learning the language by practicing with a local plus ask for our voluntary positions where you can work as a volunteer or try the caving tours to Santander or Boyaca.
