Crantock cottage is in the heart of the quintessentially Cornish village of Crantock, and is just a 5 minute walk via a footpath down to the beach, making it an ideal base for family beach holidays. In addition there are many local attractions and activities nearby in Newquay and Truro
Crantock is lovely picturesque village with many amenities including convenience shop, post office, tea rooms and a 400 year old thatched village pub which serves good quality food. Outside the heart of the village there is also a beach cafe and a cliff top restaurant and bistro looking out over the sea.
The main reason people consider Crantock to be one of the most desirable places to visit is its large sandy bay, (perfect for paddling, swimming and surfing) and the protected National Trust headlands and Gannel Estuary which provides a haven for wildlife and birds.
Nearby is the secluded beach of Polly Joke, without a carpark and only accessed via a footpath - it is perfect for relaxing far away from it all.
