I am a self employed artist with newly acquired field and garden which keep me busy, trying to encourage my poytunnel to grow food, exploring ancient places and countryside and hearing live music ,mostly locally traditional and roots whenever possible. A few chickens , a dog and Charles the guinea fowl add to our little menagerie. I like to make guests welcome ( I have been managing the holiday cottage for quite a few years) to this part of Scotland and making the cottage as inviting, attractive and as cosy as possible (it is Scotland!) and give as much local info as wanted . Myself and my partner have lived here for 35 years in the Easter Cairngorms and love it's remoteness but we do live up a steep lane , 3 miles from a main road so need a car. Winters can sometimes be severe and snowy but just a really beautiful, peaceful place to live .
