We have just returned from our 2 night stay in Wild Rose Cottage in Carlingford. I went with my sister, my kids and her kids.. What can we say...? A beautiful cottage with stunning views. Safe and plenty of space for our children (5 kids between 5 and 9) plenty of space to run outside. This cottage is so clean and comfortable, we loved all the homely touches. Anne was very welcoming and we will absolutely return. This was not our first time in Carlingford but it was in Wild Rose cottage. We hope to Stay in Wild Rose Cottage next time too.

Wild Rose Cottage was better then I expected!! Our family had the most amazing relaxed time there. At night we made a fire in the wood stove which gave such a cozy feel. The place was so clean and smelled so fresh. There were 7 of us, and there was plenty of space for all of us. Anne got back to me on my many question texts so fast. The only thing missing is WiFi however, but that gave us a chance to play monopoly as a family. We would make a trip to Ireland just to stay in this lovely cottage again!

The Wild Rose cottage was a comfortable, quaint cottage that was perfect for our family of 7. It was clean, neat and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed having our coffee in the mornings outside looking out at the water. It is located just outside the town in a quiet area. Perfect for a little getaway.

Anne's house is in an amazing setting - beautiful views of the lough and lovely outdoor garden area with lots of seating & even a brazier. We had very rainy weather while we were there & sadly couldn't avail of the garden. Only one small down side of the cottage was that we were a party of 7 and the kitchen/living area is too small for this size of a party. - we couldn't all sit at the table together to eat (although if the weather was nice we would have been outside!) Also only one 3 seater couch & one arm chair so relaxing in the evenings was a bit tricky. It's a beautiful cottage, clean, well equipped and very peaceful. Perfect for a slightly smaller group than ours or if you are luckier than us with the weather! Fabulous part of the country to visit. There is a back lane to the village but in my opinion it's not a very easy walking distance unless you are fit, & I wouldn't like to try walking home after a few pints! Will be back to the area it's really beautiful & already miss the beautiful views from Anne's cottage.
