Edlunda 1:44 is a waterfront property on the island of Edlunda. Edlunda is 1 hour by ferry from: the Grand Hotel, in central Stockholm, or 15 minutes from either Gashaga, Lidingo or Vaxholm town - gateway to the Northern Archipelago. The house faces North North West which provides wonderful evenings with the deck having sun until down during the summer.
The building originally comprised a workman's house and a boathouse, built by the famous Swedish entrepreneur Bertil August Hjort. The boathouse comprises a large open space of around 90 sq Meters, a small kitchen, a double bedroom. and a loft with a double bed and a separate room with a single day. A bathroom with shower, washing machine and tumble dryer. The dining room table is extendable can sit 14.
The workman’s house, consists of a large kitchen, dining room for 4, sitting room, bathroom and two bedrooms: one with a double bed and one with two single beds.
Running the length of the building is a 4 meter wide deck with BBQ and outside tables for up to 18 persons.
There is a TV & DVD player, wifi, large selection of DVDs and books, & music system. A small mother boat is available on request to a capable driver.
A ferry ride away is the woodland area of Bogesundslandet with a number of hiking paths of various distances.
The city of Stockholm is an hour way by ferry.
Interaction with guests
I will not be staying at the house if both the boat house and workman's house are rented.
Other things to note
It is optional to rent the boat-house only.
- In the summer it is important to note that water is a scarse resource and should be conserved.
- Smoking is allowed on the deck but not in the house
- Please remove recyclable items: bottles, cans, plastic etc to the mainland.
- Treat my home as you would your home.
