Moorhouse is an 18th century, stone-built, lead miner's cottage, which lies on the cusp between wooded valley and open moorland in Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With views in all directions, it is ideal for a break away amidst rugged scenery, and is perfectly placed for access to local attractions such as Fountains Abbey, Brimham Rocks and the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
We offer two double rooms, which share a bathroom and a 'snug', with original 'range' and television.

Jules and I moved to Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 2015, and love it. We'd often choose similar places to go for breaks and holidays, and now we live it every day.
We've also taken on a menagerie of farm animals: a few sheep, hens, ducks, and a couple of alpacas. Never dreamed I'd be interested in sheep, let alone own some. But do you know what? They're more entertaining than you'd think!
We both have a healthy interest in music, literature, film, theatre and visual arts, and our holidays often mix nature and culture. I tend to use music, film and literature to practise my Spanish, but the last couple of years the animals and the land have taken up most of our time, so other things have taken a back seat.
