Pictures don't do this place justice. It's not often that I'm pleasantly surprised but Steven's place did just that. The house was recently renovated and can best be described as "rustic chic." The house is over a hundred years old and they paid homage to the character of the house in the remodel, leaving some original exposed beams, original, updated cabinetry, exposed masonry and a few other things that add to the rustic charm. We were greeted with a gift basket of chips, salsa, queso, candy and a bottle of wine, which was a nice touch.
The rooms were nicely decorated and beds were very comfortable. All three bathrooms were included in the remodel and very nicely finished. Upstairs, there is one room with a window unit A/C. The other rooms aren't air conditioned so bringing a fan might be in order. The windows do have screens, though. Out back, under a large tree, is a nice little seating area with a fire pit, loaded with wood and ready to light and enjoy. In the front is another nice seating area with some Adirondack chairs and a swing in front of the stream that runs through the property.
Steven was very good at communicating and responded timely to all of my messages. Overall, a very pleasant stay and would definitely book again.
