I am a Canadian, and former New Zealand citizen, now living here on beautiful Maui. Much of the year is taken up with visiting friends and family from around the world. On the occasions when they are not here I love sharing the space with airbnb guests. There is a California King bed in the first bedroom, and two single beds in the second room. Large windows provide excellent cross breezes. Mountain views from both bedrooms with an ocean view as well from the first bedroom.
Wonderful views from the lanai straight off the great room.
Full bathroom with window to private garden view. Complete kitchen with large fridge and full size stove.
Enjoy a big sky view and glorious sunsets! During whale season you can see them breach from the lanai. The property has mature plumeria trees, orange blossom, fragrant night jasmine, and palm trees. You'll be awakened by gorgeous bird song. They greet the day and return to sing the sunset in. Gorgeous pool with steps into shallow end for little ones. Weber barbeque, beach chairs, beach umbrella, cooler, and boogie boards all provided. Snorkel gear and flippers.
Near the Shops at Wailea, great restaurants, and the superior golf courses of Wailea. Drive 5 minutes to the beach and a lovely paved walkway along the oceanfront past luxurious hotels and open air evening luaus.
Interaction with guests
I respond to my guests as they direct. Always available by text and cell phone and nearby to answer any questions.
Maui Meadows is a sought after residential community lying just above Wailea's exclusive gated communities and expensive hotels. It's quiet and friendly and easily accessible to the beaches, restaurants, shops, golfing, the airport and activities via Piilani Highway.
The best way to get around Maui is by picking up a rental car when you arrive. There is so much the island has to offer, you won't want to miss a thing! Each town on Maui has its distinct personality, from the old whaling town of Lahaina, to the quaint town of Paia and the Pianiolo town of Makawao up country. Kihei/Wailea is the sunniest and has a personality all its own.
Other things to note
There are gates enclosing the lanai, a pac n play for your baby and a portable intercom that will allow you to sit pool side while baby sleeps in the cottage.
Laundry area with Bosch washer/dryer available for your use.
For your safety, there are smoke detectors, a fire extinguisher, a safety card of emergency numbers, and a first aid kit. I don't expect you'll need to use any of these items, but want you and your family and friends to feel safe. Taxes are included.

I have lived in Vancouver, Canada, being Canadian originally, Encinitas, California, Auckland, New Zealand, Washington State, and Washington DC. All wonderful places to call home and many memories to hold.
I found myself here as a result of being asked by a client to design and renovate their beachfront penthouse condominium. I left my design work in DC and came west. Way west! It took three years to take the 3000 sq ft. space from a total gut job to a luxury 5 bedroom residence. At the same time, we bought this home to live in and breathed new life into it.
Walking the beach and enjoying the company of friends and family rounds out my day.
I enjoy sharing the property and continue to love working on it. Living in the sun and fresh air, accompanied by the birds singing and the trade winds is what living in Hawaii is all about.
