My husband, Ted and I have recently retired from our professions. Ted has been a commercial fisherman for about 30 years and worked on tugs and freight boats for about 10 years. He has has enjoyed renovating houses when he is not fishing as well as other projects in his workshop. This little cottage of ours near the sea is one of his recent projects! I have been a Public Health Nurse for 35 years and enjoy working with people to maintain good health. I like gardening, tennis, walking, cycling, kyaking, skiing; anything outdoors, I am happy. I sing in a local choir and volunteer at the hospital. We have two grown children who live in the Comox Valley. We love living in a rural setting, near the ocean, yet close enough to the town of Courtenay and Comox to do errands easily. We love living here in the Comox Valley and enjoy the many recreational opportunities and cultural events available. We enjoy meeting new people and telling them about the great places to visit around here. We also like to travel and explore new places of interest, so we understand it is important to feel comfortable where you stay when away from home and also to see our cottage as a get away for you from the stresses of life.

During your stay
I will be available to greet you hopefully and help as needed but have a full life so will be out and about as well. I can offer recommendations or places to eat, places to explore. With concerns around Covid 19, self check in and check out works well too.
