Everything about my stay with Mei Mei in Takoma Park was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable, Mei Mei was a wonderful host and a pleasure to chat to. The apartment backs on to a beautiful forested area with a creek and a walking/running path. Takoma's main street is a short walk away - a quaint community with a lot of character and small independent cafe's, restaurants, bakery, etc. I was surprised to find such a community with a genuine small town vibe, so close to the city. I felt right at home, thanks for everything Mei Mei!

My stay here worked out great. The apartment was comfortable, clean, and in a great neighborhood. I ubered daily to the national archives for research-the ride wasn't bad at all, and the price here plus two uber rides per day was much more affordable than anything closer to the archives. Mei Mei is a genuinely kind person who was easy to stay with-she always made sure I was comfortable, and even shared her food with me some evenings. A great place to stay!

Everything was great! I love this place. The room is very clean and the bed is comfortable. Mei Mei's place is decorated with lots of great art works. It is located in a very beautiful area with lots of trees around. I had some time to take a walk in the neighborhood and people are friendly. Mei Mei was really helpful during my stay. She told me how to get around and suggested what I shouldn't miss in DC. It is easy to get to the metro station by bus or uber/lyft.

Mei Mei was an amazing host. Her and her son were very helpfull and welcoming. Also, the place was clean and comfortable, as its description. The environment of the place is really nice and calm. I truly recommend Mei's place to have a nice time and enjoy Takoma.

Mei Mei was a wonderful host - very accommodating and inviting. The place was quiet, and in walkable distance to the metro/buses. The apartment was well cleaned and had a unique array of art. I also took some time to see the exhibit she had at the VisArt gallery, which was a nice treat to modern art. She also saved me a ton of time with a metro card since I was there for the women's march and the metros were packed with people waiting to buy tickets (I got to skip that giant line). Overall, it was a great experience and I had no issues.

I was in DC to conduct research at the National Archives IIat College Park, which was a 10-15 minute drive away (tough to access by public transit). This space was comfortable and cozy, just as described. A bike path is just outside the house, and I so enjoyed running on it each morning. Thank you, Mei Mei!

Mei Mei has created a unique space in her apartment. Her artwork and art gear make up the decor, making it feel like a small studio space. She and her son were very relaxed and friendly, and we had some fun chats together. The room has its own A/C unit which was crucial in early September. There was also a big window for ventilation which I used one night, although it opens to the parking lot. It was mostly quiet until people starting going to work. I should also mention that the walls are a little thin, but found the neighbors again to be quiet. The bed was obviously not full-sized, but was comfortable enough for me. The building itself is in a nice neighborhood of single family homes, and backs up directly to sligo creek. I knew that the building would be far from transit, but discovered it's far from any grocery or corner stores too. Mei Mei did share her watermelon with me on a particularly hot night, so I was still well taken care of! Thanks Mei Mei, I hope to come back another time.
