Park Slope is many different neighborhoods in one - diverse music options that bring hipster kids from Williamsburg and people from all over the burroughs. Prospect Park is the people's park, with a welcoming feel and a place where it's clear people from all the half dozen distinct neighborhoods that ring the park come together, enjoy the outdoors, and mix. Chains of any sort are hard to find, and if you like walking, there's no better area for exploring and being surprised with what you find.
