Elmiro and Sergio are soooo amazing! I really lucked up when I found their listing. They are wonderful host! Incredibly kind, outgoing and very funny too! We have shared many great stories, music and wonderful food with each other. Omg! Did I mention they also make an adorable little breakfast in the mornings and washed my big bag clothes for FREE! Thank you so much guys! I really appreciate all you've done. I feel like I found friends away from home! :) The house is gorgeous! Beautiful art, tiles, colors and such a welcoming feeling! I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended my time here an extra two nights! They have two amazing dogs and two cats... They are the cutest things ever. I will always remember this beautiful home and hope to return someday!

We had a such good time at Miro'place for 5 days. The house is located in Santa Teresa a great district with small an nice little street. You can find there a lot of shops, bars and restaurants, but also a nice park with an amazing view of city. The house is beautiful and very friendly. You can enjoy spending time in the garden or in the terrace from which you also have a nice view of Rio. The last but not the least important thing, Miro is a very nice man. He will help you with everything you need and give you some very good tips about the city, in english or in a very good french !!

I loved staying at the Canto Da Carambola! Miro welcomed us, offered helpful suggestions and made delicious breakfast each morning. The view was amazing, the home was exactly how it appeared on AirBnb. It was a cozy place to stay in the wonderful neighborhood of Santa Teresa. They even have art exhibits, so we were able to see a live performance, enjoy traditional food and view the gallery. Thank you for your hospitality!

Staying with Miro was very nice. The apartment looks like on the pictures, it is very unique and full of many lovely details. There is also a terrace, where you can sit in the evening watching the city from above. There are many plants, which gives you a relaxed feeling after coming from the city. The room was clean, cosy and bright. You can have more sheets or fresh towels if you like. He also changed the sheets and cleaned after a few days we lived there. The breakfast was amazing. Miro prepared fresh shakes every day, my favourite was the avocado honey one. There was everything you need for a healthy breakfast, different fresh fruits, eggs, sweets, different sorts of bread and much more. While having breakfast you can sit in the beautiful garden, it’s full of green trees and nicely quite. In general Miro was a very good host, he gave us tips on everything, and also informed us about special events in the city, that you can´t find in any guides. He was very caring but you can also have your private time for example at breakfast. We enjoyed so much staying with Miro, that we came back staying with him after traveling to other places in Brazil for a couple of days. Coming back there felt like coming back home. The apartment is located in Santa Teresa, which is a very nice neighbourhood. There is a little pick up van in Gloria which gets you up there every 15minutes, since Santa teresa is located on a hill. There are also some busses that can get you back there. Walking down is easy, and you are in Lapa in 10-15 minutes walking. The apartment is very close to many restaurants, bars, and some little shops. For us it didn´t feel very touristy, there were always many people around, and live music and good food everywhere.

Miro and Sergio! Best hosts ever! Both a very creative people with perfect taste and sense of humor. The house is a piece of art. Every detail is beautiful. I saw amazing pieces of furniture and design made by Miro himself and also a lot of beautiful artworks by Sergio. And they grow their own mangoes which are delicious! Actually there's not only mangoes, their garden is also incredibly beautiful and you for sure will love the terrace with unbelievable view. I saw the flying foxes there at night and that's impressive. There are four friendly pets in the house and you also will love them, especially Olavo. Everything was perfect and Miro is always ready to help and recommend something and it was just nice to talk with him. And he teach me how to make a caipirinha! I will back here for sure. For me this house is the best place in Rio and Santa Teresa is very beautiful and unique neighborhood. Totally recommend! Thanks a lot guys! xx

We absolutely loved staying with Miro and Sergio in this beautifully restored home near the top of santa teresa. The hosts were fantastic, as were the breakfasts and the views. The hosts, so relaxed and kind, are artists, so there were many interesting touches in the furnishings and decorations, and beautiful art displayed throughout. Miro was very helpful with guidance on where to go and how to get around. While it is at the top of the hill, it was very close to Centro, there are a number of good restaurants nearby, as well as the nearby Ruins Park and Selenes Stairs. There is a roof deck that we went up to in the mornings and evenings to take in the city, and there are a variety of fruit trees, so it felt almost like a jungle respite in the city --We had visits from parrots and monkeys. I will stay here again next time I go to Rio. Thank you Miro & Sergio!
