We had an amazing stay at the cottage! Crisanne made it easy to set up a time for us to check in. When we arrived she was there to welcome us and I felt like if anything came up she would be very responsive. She also gave us some helpful tips about our plans. The cottage is in a perfect location for exploring the island and really close to Portree, yet secluded so have plenty of privacy. I hope we can stay again!

Lovely little cottage to stay in, just a short drive from Portree (unfortunately not walkable - very busy main road with no pedestrian path). There was no WiFi, but we both got 3G (on 3 network - even though we got no 3G in Portree itself!) so that wasn't a problem. Chrisanne was a great host, was lovely to have a couple of kitchen extras on arrival, and she was just at the end of the phone when needed. There's also a huge folder of walking routes from Walk Highland, which was very helpful, and we wish we could have done more of them! All the start points were an easy driving distance away, as Portree is so central. And there was a DVD player, which was a nice surprise. It was also lovely to have the fire there to use in the evenings. We'd recommend using the upstairs as a drying area - the first day or two we had everything hanging off the downstairs radiators and the place got a bit damp! Once we moved it all upstairs though and aired the place out a bit, it was fine. Wonderful stay, and a lovely holiday!

Response from Chrisanne:
Thank you for your kind words Nigel. I totally take on board about the WiFi, unfortunately the Broadband speeds here are also very poor!

The cottage is nicely situated in a quiet valley near Portree and very easy to reach by car, Chrisanne communicated clearly with us and we had no problems finding everything. You should know that there's no wifi and bad reception (as everywhere in North Scotland I suppose), but the Tourist Information in Portee offers free wifi for urgent things. The kitchen was well supplied and the washing mashine easy to use. It was perfect for our four nights on Skye and we would definitely come back.

Chrisanne's cottage was very cozy. It's located close to A87 which made it about 1 hour drive to the furthest points in Skye. The accomodation is very basic with no wifi, but there was mobile 4G available (EE). It has a lovely open fire, central heating and was very clean and tidy. We spent most of our time exploring Skye so it was perfect for us.

We had a wonderful time staying at the cottage. It made a perfect, private home away from home for us while we were on Skye. The location was great, giving us easy access to Portree and the main roads.

The cottage was clean and lovely. Everything essential was there. Chrisanne was so kind and picked us up and also dropped us off. And even took us to Portree with her if she was going there. Very kind. She's also a local so don't be afraid to ask her about best hikes.

I am a local, born and brought up on the Isle of Skye, Gaelic speaker and also fluent in German. My love is the outdoors, walking in this wonderful place and enjoying the local wildlife, we have eagles, (golden and sea eagles), buzzards, herons, curlews, lapwings, swallows and lots of garden birds. Deer, foxes, hares and the not so wild - cows and sheep!
