It was nice to have the lovely view from the top room but we found the price very expensive for the area and they need to address a few issues to be able to justify charging that sort of fee (a price which is double a professional good standard hotel in the area). 1. It's very difficult to find the place. The details provided on how to get to the accommodation weren't sufficient to find it. The numbering system in the street is the first time we've experienced that sort of address style in over 40 countries we've visited. We asked via email several times for how to find the place and wasted a lot of time and waited on the street calling and waiting for the staff to find us because we couldn't find the place. 2. Breakfast varies dependant on who is there to prepare it on the day. Coffee was awful and the machine not working well, and we had to purchase from a local cafe with our own money on both days we stayed. We supplied our own baguette the first day as there wasn't enough bread. We also had to ask for everything, butter, milk etc. We DID NOT appreciate being told we had to have breakfast at 8.30 as we should be able to choose. We were asked when we wanted to have breakfast, then told that no, it had to be 8.30am. We came downstairs to find cold eggs on the table, not pleasant at all. Other guests arrived even later than us and had an even nastier experience. Very cold eggs, no coffee, no staff. We helped them set themselves up. 3. The shower in the top room has very low pressure and is not appropriate to the fee you're charging.

Beautiful building and great location. Staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. Be careful when choosing a room and confirm size of room and number of beds. I'll consider staying at this place again, however, I'll likely choose another.

Hanoi Art Residence is ideally situated in a little street off one of the busiest roads in Hoan Kiem area. It was the perfect mix of quiet for a good night's rest, but still 50 steps away from where the fun starts. The place is beautiful - who can deny how cool it is to stay in an art gallery? Lily is a very thoughtful and watm host and her assistants are also wonderful young adults. I don't see myself choosing to stay anywhere else for my future visits to Hanoi.

I'd had a perfect day staying in such a wonderful place. I am definitely coming back here next year if possible. Not to mention great service, Ms. Thuy is an extremely friendly and responsive host. She provided all the necessary facilities. The breakfast was amazing, I love the cake so much. Whenever I needed something, I could always get help from the staff immediately. So many things to compliment, yet I would like to recommend this place to everyone I know if they need to come to Hanoi.

I really loved this place. It's right in the center of Hanoi where I could walk to many historical places. The host and the staff were very nice and friendly, they even asked me out for dinner and gave me some information on places I could go visit. Also, everything was clean, neat, and nicely decorated. I highly recommend this place to anybody. Thank you Ms. Van so much and hope to see you again.

My name is Lily. I was born and raised in Hanoi Old Quarter. I love my city and love experiencing the culture and the people of Hanoi. Hanoians are truly elegant and artistic, that is why I have such a great love with Art, especially with painting and music. When I was young, I had a chance to live with my grandparents in the Old Quarter, in a house with French architecture. When I grew up and got married, I always want to decorate my home sweet home beautifully. My ambition is creating a house that is truly full of art, and now it has become real, when I turn my house into a beautiful boutique hotel, with a little bit influence of the standard of the family house in Hanoi. In Hanoi Art Residence, you are not only can feel comfortable like staying in a hotel but you also enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere of a home. We have the kitchen for you to make a cup of Hanoi Coffee or even a Vietnamese styled meal. Or you can immerse yourself in our beautiful Gallery with paintings from local artists. I have young staffs that are working part-time in here. They are studying History and Journalism, communicate well in English and understand deeply about Hanoi culture. They are perfect tour guides if you want to travel around Hanoi. I also have a friend who is a famous cook and baker and she can help you learn baking or making traditional Vietnamese dishes. We also can introduce you to many services in the Old Quarter such as spa, motorbike renting, souvenirs and more, with a valuable price. I will help every guest as best as I could. My duty is bringing the satisfactory and memorable experiences for every tourist came to Hanoi.
