James is a lovely host, and willing to work with your needs for a secluded, and relaxed vacation. The property is gorgeous, and the home is comfortable. Our group really enjoyed their stay, with the ability to walk down to the creek, or up into the hills. The home is open and airy.

Rustic and comfortable space for some R&R outside of the city. Kids and adults both had a wonderful time. Beds are comfortable and the house is spacious both indoors and out. Some tips: - Bring swimming shoes for the swimming hole - Only Verizon phones get service here but WiFi works very well Thank you, James, for opening up your home. We had a wonderful time!

This place is perfect for a family with young children interested in exploring, playing in a small tree house and swimming in a creek. The swimming hole is awesome and the home is a wonderful space for closeness with one another at mealtime and sleep time. It is in a beautiful canyon, isolated and safe. The stars at night are wonderful and there are nice areas for short hikes. You must cross the suspension bridge to get to the house, but James will transport your heavy luggage on the service road. Bring swimming shoes for walking in the creek (slippery algae) and floating tubes for relaxing.

James and Hillary are fantastic hosts. The location is absolutely incredible and beautiful. The nature is gorgeous with all sorts of birds and animals everywhere and there is an awesome private beach with swimming hole just down a path from the house. The views of the brook are spectacular and the house is rustic and charming, great for nighttime fires and stargazing. The location is only accessible by small suspension bridge, so be prepared (it's totally safe, but if you're afraid of heights, just know that). A lovely 45 min drive from here to Ojai and there are hiking trails all over the place. An awesome way to get away from LA for a bit, only an hour and 15 min away or so.
