We are a Nagercoil based family, residing in Nagercoil for multiple generations since 1934. We are offering our 4 BHK, 2 bathroom, non-AC villa. ‘Home away from home’ is located in a leafy, upscale neighborhood situated 5 mins (walking) from the district collector’s office in Nagercoil. 2.5 K.M. from Bus station and 2.75 K.M from railway station.
Entire villa is provided to one family/ group at a time. It accommodates 4 (minimum) to 15 (max) guests. You'll feel at your own Papa's house.
The space
This property is a private, two storied villa, featuring two fully independent 1,500 sq.ft homes. It is situated in a large plot of land, with several trees and plants, providing a respite from the heat. I am a retired Government of India official; my family and I reside on the ground floor. The first floor residence is what you see listed here.
There are 4 furnished bedrooms (with ceiling fans), a living room/dining area, a kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, a balcony (1st floor) and a terrace (2nd floor). Please refer to the captions under each picture for detailed descriptions about the amenities in each room. The spacious backyard can accommodate 3-4 vehicles (free of charge). This backyard can be also rented separately for events. A separate bathroom is also available within the compound for drivers/chauffeurs.
All windows and vents are protected with mosquito nets. There is one water heater available in the master bedroom. An iron can be made available on request. The kitchen has an induction stove and utensils/pans for basic cooking. We provide plates, and other cutlery (to be self-cleaned).
Notes on pricing:
1. Basic nightly rate of Rs.1200 covers stay for 3 people.
2. Additional guests are charged Rs.355 per person (please note: bedroom 4 is available only when booking includes 8 or more guests).
3. Please refer to Airbnb’s pricing structure for more information on cleaning fee, taxes etc.
House Rules:
1.Strictly no smoking or alcohol consumption anywhere within the premises (please note, this is a residential neighborhood). 24 hours start from 8.00 A.M to next day 8.00 A.m.
2.All footwear (chappals and shoes) are to be left downstairs.

- Milk, Sugar, Tea and Coffee sachets are provided for the first day
- Food is not provided. There are multiple restaurants nearby, many of whom deliver. Additionally, a family run business delivering homemade meals (veg and non-veg), three times daily is also available. We are happy to share their contact information when you stay.
- Please note, you are responsible to maintain the kitchen, and living premises cleanly during your stay. We particularly request you not leave any open food around to avoid attracting insects inside the home.
- Call taxis/autos are available on request (charges are to be paid directly with the taxi company).
- Daily cleaning services are not provided. However, you are free to engage our maid who comes to our home daily (payment, rates and availability are to be negotiated directly with her).
- We do not have backup facilities for electricity. We currently experience occasional power shortages lasting 5-10 minutes. Once in a month electricity is switched off for scheduled maintenance by the TNEB, usually from 9 am, until 2 or 5 pm. Such scheduled cuts are usually announced in the local newspaper.
- If you are interested in purchasing banana chips, sweets or other local delicacies we are happy to provide recommendations.
