Shelley's home is conveniently located just a few minutes off the main highway to (or from!) Cape Breton. We found it easily and Shelley welcomed us with a glass of wine and a pleasant chat as we sat outside thoroughly enjoying the breathtaking view. Our room (and en suite) were immaculate; everything we needed was provided - even a mini fridge. Breakfast was delicious. Far nicer than a generic hotel room, we agreed that we really couldn't have done better!! (It was extra-nice also as we had been camping for a week!). And thank you Shelley, for the tip about Masstown Market - we found everything we were looking for!

We stayed at Shelly's as we were attending a wedding in the local area. From the beginning, Shelly was easy to communicate with, and offered assistance when needed. She was quick to respond and was willing to accommodate early check in. The property is as described, and extremely beautiful. The experience was just like staying in a hotel. Absolutely stunning decor, great view, and immaculate room. Literally everything you could need you will find here - including a beach towel or toothbrush! Shelly was kind enough to make us a delicious breakfast and made great conversation. She also gave us privacy when needed. We are already looking forward to our return in Havre Boucher!! Thanks again, Shelly!!

We enjoyed moving back to the area we grew up (after 40 yrs) and built our retirement retreat. We are currently adding the finishing touches and as soon as weather permits will dive into landscaping and gardening. Neil became a cowboy while in Alberta and brought back the feel of the west when he constructed our home, as well as a few horses. Shelley enjoys cooking and baking and you should never find the cookie jar empty! This is a new adventure for us and we can't wait to meet new friends!
