This little apartment has so much going for it. It's well placed in the village with bakeries, cafes, restaurants, shops all just a short walk away, but it's also quiet and private. We enjoyed that terrace with its beautiful view every morning for breakfast and every evening whether for dinner or drinks. Brice has added a natural-looking covering/awning over the terrace to help protect it and the flat from the afternoon sun. Astonishingly, there were only a few hours of the day (and this is in mid-July) even without the awning when it was not perfectly comfortable to be in the flat or out on the terrace, and those were hours we were most likely to be out anyway (from, say, about 1 to 6).
I also appreciated how well-equipped the kitchen is. You don't think about it beforehand, but you're really grateful to find things like a salad-spinner and a sieve. The cooker has both gas and electric burners, too. I only did simple skillet-cooking and lots of salads, but I had everything I needed--plus a dishwasher! :)
The bed was super comfortable and roomy, and the fan was helpful in keeping things cool. Also plenty of space to hang up clothes.
There's a bakery around the corner that we used every day, and just a few steps further down is a restaurant Brice recommended (Les Saveurs Gourmandes) that we enjoyed on two different nights. In a different direction but still close (up the hill where you park and to the right) is a salon de thé and patisserie that I wish I had discovered sooner because if you want a lovely, leisurely breakfast or brunch, or simply a coffee & pastry, it's a treasure. Excellent tarts and pain au chocolat. I think the sign said Home Cake Lub, but I wasn't able to find it on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps. Lovely views from there while your sipping your coffee, too.
Finally, Brice himself was a gracious host. The kindness in him is evident. And on a practical note, he was always easy to reach and quick to respond if we had any questions. We saw him occasionally during our stay, and every time, my husband and I would say to each other later, 'What a nice person!'
