My husband and I spent 1 night/2 days in Baltimore at the end of June to attend a baseball game. I had chosen this location as the write-up said it was within walking distance of the train station -- and it was. It only took us around 10 minutes to walk to the unit on Preston St (less time going back as it's mostly downhill to the train station). David was an exceptionally accommodating host. I had inquired if the room had darkening curtains and he had them installed just prior to our arrival. Everything in the unit we had looked brand new. There was a comfortable bed, desk, large bar fridge with freezer on top, sink, a few dishes, dresser, closet with hangers and private bathroom with shower in the room. We appreciated having access to a washer & dryer we could use (for free). There was even laundry detergent provided although we had our own with us. The building is a heritage-type building and the room had an exposed brick wall which is very nice and very large windows. As we were facing a street with lots of street lights we appreciated the curtains, although please note that light can still come in on the sides and top if you're exceptionally sensitive to light. We very much enjoyed the room and felt very safe in the neighborhood. We walked the approx 45 minutes to Camden Yards and were able to take a taxi back for under $8 (tip included). The next day we took an Uber from there to the Inner Harbour for around $5 (no traffic). We highly recommend the Inner Harbour area - very lovely with lots of great restaurants and shops. I will admit that we were a bit hesitant about visiting Baltimore due to all the recent riot news coverage, but we felt very safe and had a great visit to the city. Camden Yards is also a beautiful ballpark. Getting back to the building - there is a very steep flight of stairs up to all the units which would be a concern for anyone who couldn't easily carry their luggage or climb stairs. For everyone else we highly recommend this location and David as a host if you're visiting Baltimore, especially if traveling by train.

The stay was great. The room was as advertised. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Mr. Shapiro was available for my questions and parking was relatively close to the unit. You won't regret picking this location.
