Close to the River Clunie the cabins are nestled behind the Auld Bank House, a stone’s throw from Braemar Mountain Sports and The Bothy coffee shop, the larch cladding complimenting the surroundings.
With comfortable beds, fresh linen and modern furniture, we think this is the perfect place to lay your head after a day exploring the Cairngorms.

The space

Zip and link bed gives the option of double or twin layout in both bedrooms, with one bedroom having electric zip and link.

The cabin is designed to be disability-friendly with wheelchair access straight to the cabin. Inside, it is equipped with an electric stair lift, electric beds and a portable shower hoist can be provided

We are committed to making all areas as accessible as we can, with wheel chair friendly pathways and easy access from car to the cabins. A small battery operated folding scooter is also available for loan.

Interaction with guests

We have three business here in Braemar, all on the same site.
Next to the cabins is our retail store, Braemar Mountain Sports and The Bothy Coffee shop. We have a wealth of knowledge, both of the area and equipment and clothing to get you out in the fantastic scenery we have here in the Cairngorms.
If you need any help during your stay we are on hand 9am to 6pm, 7 days a week.

Other things to note

Beneath the deck adjacent to The Bothy coffee shop are several lockers for storing bikes, skis and buggies etc.
Next to this is the fire pit and BBQ area which is a communal area for all cabins to use overlooking the old mill wheel and river.

Braemar Mountain Sports Equipment Hire, next door to the cabins:
Summer hire of Men’s, Ladies and children’s Mountain Bikes. This is from April to October only.
Cross Country, Nordic and Alpine Ski Touring equipment hire including boots and poles.

We love pets here at Braemar Cabins, but having your favourite 4 legged friend along with you on holiday means there is more cleaning for us at the end of your stay. With this in mind we charge a one off pet cleaning fee of £20 per stay. We can add this to your booking once we receive it, or you can pay on arrival.

This place is amazing. We loved it, both the cabin itself and the surroundings. The cabin was cosy, confortable and had everything you can possibly need. Don't miss these cabins.

The cabin was excellent - well equipped and pristine. We made use of the Bothy (next door) twice for breakfast and The Gathering Place Bistro (next door) twice for dinner. Our party comprised of 4 middle aged guys and there was plenty of room. I will definitely be back again with my wife and three young kids.

Great cabins - so close to the great hiking routes in Cairngorms but in bustling Braemar. Perfect location. Photos don't do this place justice!

Braemar cabins are perfectly located within the village centre, near shops and plenty of stunning walks around the Cairngorms. They are beautifully decorated and have everything you need. Cannot recommend the place enough, we had the best time there with our crazy greyhound.

We absolutely loved staying at the Braemar cabins! The cabin was perfect for our family of four (including two tall teens). It was a perfect introduction to the stunning Braemar area. We were so grateful for the central location and ability to easily hire bikes from Braemar Mountain Sports. Everyone was so helpful and we found the perfect routes to bike considering our biking experience. This area in August was simply stunning with the hills covered in purple heather and the rivers high. The cabin was such a welcome oasis after a day outdoors. The shower was especially wonderful and the beds very comfortable. Hearing the sound of the stream was very relaxing. We hope to make use of the fire pit next time. We are already planning our next adventure to the cabin and considering a winter escape. It would also be a perfect place for a family reunion. We are so grateful for finding this wonderful place and highly recommend it. What a gem!

Moved here in September 2016 to help with the running of Braemar Cabins.
An easy decision, as being in the hills is by far my favourite thing.
A mad keen skier, having travelled globally to fulfill my addiction and when the snow melts you can find me somewhere on my mountain bike.
