We are an active family and try to make positive contributions to our communities near and far. I'm Troy, a mom and longtime college professor of humanities and communication. I love my family and friends, the arts, movies, walking and hiking, and exploring the natural world and different places and cultures. I've traveled in the U.S., England, Europe, and Cuba. My daughter is amazing and has many interests, including human rights, animal welfare, horseback riding, studying Japanese, and spending time with friends. My partner raised four terrific children while living in Asia working for nonprofit relief and development agencies in the field and at the executive level. He speaks several languages, is studying new ones--and, thankfully, gave up mountain-climbing before I met him! All of us are devoted readers and writers
