The villa really is a georgous place with stunning views over the Mediterranean sea. It is located in the Versilia in a lovely hilly area, ideal for cycling and running, an old castello (the castello Aghinolfi) being in walking distance. The pool and deck are wonderful places to relax. They are located within a wonderful old Tuscan garden where you find all the herbs and ingredients for your own Italian cooking. There are a few nice restaurants in the area, a number of busier places, such as Pietrasanta (with its medieval old centre), Forte dei Marmi or even Lucca being also within reach. One point to mention, maybe, that there is a marble factory nearby (it is the area where the famous white Carrara marble is found) from which a little bit of noise emanates but you get used to that very quickly. All in all, a great getaway for those who want to escape big city life and for us a memorable spot we will not forget.
