Great stay in welcoming, warm atmosphere! Definitely worth 5/5 rating. We stayed here for 4 days. Major advantage is positive, home-like vibe. Our host was very thoughtful and always ready to help. Was looking after us when my wife felt sick, cooked soup for her, herbs, (did not charge us additionality for it) taking care and making sure that she is getting better. Hosts can arrange any activities you want. Breakfast and cocktails were very tasty! Location may be small inconvenience, is outside of strict center (but location is very quiet and calm on the other hand). Not to far (about 10 mins walk), and you will get email with precise directions and minimap. Worth staying!

The accommodations were exemplar. The room is spacious, clean, appealing and air conditioned. The host was very friendly and did an amazing job attending to our requests and needs. She was helpful with providing useful information and booking our excursions. All the meals were delicious, five star quality. If you are looking to eat authentic cuban food I would choose their home cooking over any restaurant. I'm always looking for flavor and they have go it. The place also is very close to the main street were all restaurants and nightlife are. Very convenient.

Raquel and Barbara are amazing hosts! We stayed for only 2 nights, but they made us feel at home very quickly. We arrived in the evening from Havana and were promptly informed of the town happenings that night and what there was to see and do (just so happened to be July 26th!). Highly recommend having breakfast and at least one dinner at the house as you won't find a better spread or level of detail in any of your other meals in Vinales. The room was of a good size, with our own bathroom and shower. Shower is hot, and the a/c is cold. Roosters and the barks of dogs will wake you up every morning as your in a fairly residential and agrarian neighborhood. Everyone knows everyone, so if you need help finding your way, just mention Casa Deportistas or Raquel/Barbara's names and you'll be on your way. The hosts also sorted out accommodations for our horseback tour through the local farms and mountains as well as our taxi collectivo back to Havana. This was a huge help as it removed the guess work for us. Knowing some Spanish is must in my opinion. It would be tough to really get to know the family and converse without it. All in all, we can't wait to go back!

This casa is run by a very welcoming family who were so accommodating despite our language barriers. Their breakfast and dinner were HUGE and delicious also. Unfortunately our shower didn't work at the time and the casa was a little further out than expected. All taxi drivers were confused where to go even after providing info given to us as the house is up some dirt streets which are somewhat hidden. As it rained a lot during our stay, that also became an issue as we had to walk through lots of mud to go anywhere and then an even longer walk through the rain to get into the town centre and undercover. This was a lovely stay but I just wish it was a little closer to the hustle of Vinales. Many thanks to the wonderful hosts though :)

Staying here actually happened by chance and I’m so glad it did. Loved the sporty environment, the many activities and THE SMOOTHIES. After a long day of horseback riding, we enjoyed our evening sitting on the porch drinking our much-needed-revitalizing smoothie. The room is simple, clean and spacious and Raquel and “Cuca” are so friendly and helpful when it came to wanting to practice my Spanish. We went horseback riding, but they did have brand new bikes available to rent. I liked this place a lot for the location. It's 10 minutes walking from the town square but I got to sleep in peace away from the noise. Thanks for a great stay!

Basketball Bedroom was one of the highlights of my trip. Raquel and Barbara are such sweet ladies who just wanted to make sure I had a wonderful stay. I rented a bike from them, which was perfect to be able to explore the area and the valley. Staying with people who speak a language other than my own and from a different culture, but having a common interest in sports meant that we already had something to talk about before even meeting. I was there at the same time as Rachel (Raquel’s Olympic Volleyball playing daughter). We talked quite a bit and I felt that I learned a lot, both practicing my Spanish and learning about the international sports world. I would definitely come back!
