Set in mature gardens adjacent to our family home, Wild Rose Cottage is a self-contained garden apartment with panoramic mountain and sea views. It's on a quiet country road 3 minutes’ walk to the nearest beach and 25 minute’s walk to Castlegregory village, located on the Wild Atlantic Way and Kerry Way walking route.
The cottage has been newly renovated and consists of a bright spacious ensuite double bedroom, kitchen/living area with wood burning stove and a private patio/garden area.

The space

The cottage is an ideal base to explore the outdoor attractions and activities on offer or to simply unwind, relax and get away from it all in comfortable surroundings. It is suitable for year round visits with a cosy wood burning stove to keep you warm on winter nights. The kitchen is well stocked with all your essentials and a collection of books are available to suit all tastes. There is Wi-Fi and a television for those who like to be connected. We can also switch these off if guests wish to escape from it all!

Guest access

There is also a large vegetable and herb garden, in which you are free to roam and pick your own vegetables in season.

Interaction with guests

Our main house is separate to the lodge on the same site and we will be available to offer advice to guests on local attractions and activities or to have a friendly chat, answer any questions. However we are discreet and will leave you to enjoy your stay.

Other things to note

A travel cot is available on request.

John and Olga are simply delightful hosts. Communication was clear and speedy with both of them always wanting to go that extra mile to ensure that our stay was as comfy as possible. The apartment while cosy is perfect for 2. Warm and inviting, Olga's love of blue comes through in the decor and her small thoughtful touches and add ons do make their place really special. All this set just by their garden and with the mountains as a backdrop - pure bliss. John has a treasure trove of information on good eats, driving routes and 'must see' spots which made our road trip thru to Connemara all the more fun. Expect a visit from Louie (King), the resident orange tabby who's in a constant need of face rubs and you may (or not if you tell John & Olga) bump into the other 2 dogs in the home as well. Then wild rose is a great stay but the hosts make it all that special.

John and Olga's place was AMAZING! They were extremely friendly & we could tell that these two really take care of their place. They offered us any essentials we would need as well as giving us advice on the best attractions to explore around the area. The place was cute & cozy. And the area was beautiful - right by the beach! Would return :)

Olga and John's place is in a perfect spot outside of Dingle...quiet and yet close enough to enjoy the harbor experience!! The cottage is super sweet and clean with easy walking to the beach and they had all the things needed to be comfortable!! Waking up and seeing the beautiful gardens out back was a great way to start the day!! Thank you for your warm hospitality....and yummy treats

I WOULD NOT HAVE A HOLIDAY IN IRELAND ANY OTHER WAY. My husband & I enjoyed John & Olga more than we can describe. Their kindness & warmth was so wonderful. We arrived to a precious, sweet Irish cottage that was easy to get to, secluded, yet perfectly located near so much to do and 2 minute walk to the beach. Seriously, so much to do!!!! Perfect location. We are coming back in a few months & plan to stay with John & Olga again. We were always welcomed in their home and to their garden. When we got there, our fridge was packed with FOOD!!! So unexpected. It was wonderful. Eggs from their chickens, coffee, tea, salads, homemade lemon cake, homemade sodabread, homemade wildberry muffins, jams, milk, butter, and then we got settled with picked so many veggies with John from his organic garden. It was so great to have, as we are not ones to eat out always. We were invited over for tea time with their children and grandchildren - which was a highlight of our stay. Basically..... we really cannot say enough good things. They offered to do our laundry or clean our towels. They had ALL bathroom/shower supplies and more. They had beach supplies and so many things that were very useful. They also knew Ireland really well. And suggusted some AMAZING pubs and sights that were off the beaten path - which we love!!! Anyways, stay at the Wildrose Cottage! Do it. You will not regret!

Staying at Olga and John`s was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. Perfect accomodations - the cottage, the garden, the freshly baked muffins and bread, the quiet, rural area, and of course - the hosts.

Nice little cottage in which we felt instantly at home! Olga and John are the sweetest and we loved out chats and their homegrown vegetables & fruits. The cozy fire and the daily visits from the pets made it perfect! Great area with great beaches. We just loved it! And will come again... :-)
