The Kobo Trust apartment is used in the summer holidays for kids being cared for by the Kobo trust to stay in. During term time the kids are at a boarding school, and the apartment only has Wilfred, so there is a spare room available. The great things about the apartment are: it is clean and safe; it is about 4 miles from Nairobi, just 50 shillings on the matatu dropping you outside the GPO; it is just across the street from Showground where you can access the Ngong Woodland Reserve; another Matatu can take you to Karen and the Karen Blixen house (as well as the nearby bean factory/shop) and Wilfred is extremely friendly and supportive. In the Ngong reserve we only had an hour so just went on a walk, but you can get a guide and go on longer trips. Even in an hour we managed to see some great butterflies and some monkeys. The facilities in the flat include wifi and a kitchen with a fridge (which you don't get everywhere in Kenya). Wilfred let us cook for him one night, and then the second night he made fish and we did rice and vegetables to share.
