Had a wonderful stay under the stars. Had some miscommunication issues regarding where to meet the host, but we worked it out quickly.

Andrea was a great host))))) the camper was extremely clean, they go above and beyond by supplying amenities for the camper. It was the perfect size for two adults and one kid. The campsite they recommended also was great we look forward to our trip there next year, and having Andrea as our host once again.

Andrea and Paul were incredibly kind and accommodating hosts. They set up our RV in a great camping spot that was off grid but close enough to the highway where we had plenty of privacy but didn't feel totally isolated. When we called to ask for help figuring out the propane grill, they showed up with a replacement and even refilled our generator when we accidentally ran it overnight. The RV is a fun option for experiencing Moab, but I do think there is a bit more to know about what you're getting into before choosing to go "off grid" vs. a campground. In retrospect, "off grid" was not the best choice for our family (us + dog + 6-month old baby), and I wish we had known a bit more upfront about what "off grid" entails in this case. To camp off grid in Andrea and Paul's Palomini RV you need to rent a generator from them for $50, but this only holds enough gas to run for about 12 hours. Moab in mid June is insanely hot, with temps reaching 110 during our stay. I just don't think 12 hours of AC over 2 days was enough to keep our family comfortable. It took a long time for the RV to cool down once we turned the air on. The RV also only holds 35 gallons of water, which was only enough for us to do dishes one night, brush our teeth, and rinse off our dog after a dusty hike. I wish there was enough water to take a quick shower or to wash our dishes the second day, but the tank just doesn't hold that much. Of course, had we chosen a campground we could have just hooked up to the water and power lines and had everything we needed. I wish we had done that, and I have made a suggestion to Andrea and Paul that they explain the difference between the two options in a bit more detail so guests can make the best choice for their needs before booking. If you want to experience Moab, the Palomini can be a fun option. Though small, the RV was clean, well-stocked, and comfortable to sleep in. Just keep in mind what you're up against when you go "off grid", and definitely consider the campground option if you're traveling with pets, kids, or elderly in the middle of summer!

Andrea was extremely accommodating for my friends and I who needed a place to stay at the last minute. RV was very clean, in a good location, and a great place to crash!

Paul User ProfilePaul is a superhost.

We are a daring couple who decided to quit the rat race and explore the world on our own terms. We bought a sailboat (having absolutely no idea how to sail), set out on the ocean and explored. Now back on dry land, we have decided to hang out in Moab and add to the ever growing community of sportsmen, naturalists, rock crawlers and visitors that make Moab such a wonderful place to visit.
